Black Dots: These are sensors which are used to monitor a soldier's movements in real time and the data is fed into the Battlefield training simulation software's for performance evaluation.

Quite a few other Armies are using similar technology , it is encouraging to see PA keeping up with the training tech. Its another evidence that at PA training means business. :enjoy:

These first were used as gun fire locators (Where did the Opfor you are training with shot you like when playing laster tag) It later upgraded to movement sensors.

This was on a Turkish Army range. I am not sure if School of Infantry is utilizing the same though.

That maneuver in the last pic, I like the use of that one. Using a plank to propel the first guy up.

If you watched the Movie Lord of the rings, the return of the king, this maneuver was used in the big battle.

Blue ribbons signify blue team?

Actually, you can see some modification on the gun tip.

The sign of a dummy gun is a yellow block type thing on the end of the barrel, this does look similar to some laser (IR) source.

Myself being from Abbottabad has seen live training of Pak Army many times and as of last time i saw in 1999,they still had old second world war radio equipment..
I hope things have changed since then..

Pak army really needs to incorporate readily available cheap high tech gear..if not specialist ones..

wt u see in abbottabad is cadets, either from PMA or from the different regimental centers in or around abbottabad.
no body any where in the world gives expensive gear to cadets. as no one is sure how many or which ones will pass out and go on to become soldiers.
the expensive gear is reserved for proper soldiers and soldiers alone.

I think its fair , that in training , trainees are given minimum items , but after graduation there should be a certain level of standard that we must maintain.

The Sensor based training does improves coordination of teams on battle field and not to mention you can probably have proper simulation and work on tactics

I feel we should look for more improvements on Soldier fitness and over all health and tactics vs Quantity

** Individual Fitness Levels Endurance
** Standards of Body / Fitness levels
** Weapons carried
** Secured communication
** Tactical Awareness on ground
** Night vision and fighting in any time
** Hand combat skills for soldiers with out weapon

These are all elements that can be improved may be introduce a mandatory level in hand to hand combat beyond just jumping over obstacles and knocking down doors and running in with guns etc

With that stated , every one knows that all Army Run sports teams are the fittest group in Country ;)
So their fitness can't be that bad ...

With the amount of Wheat made in Country , its surprising that the soldiers do not have more fuller bodies , since wheat is use to make "supplements" used by body builders as its natural protein

Time to get on with Future

Very nice. The only thing left for Pak Army to do here is to replace G3’s & AK 47 with modern & light weight assault rifles. G3 & AK both are very heavy weapons, a person can get really tired holding them & carrying them around. Pak Army is developing they also need to think about replacing G3, FN & AK with new modern light weight assault rifles.

Pakistan army main battle rifle is G3A3 but now most of the army uses aug bar , AK47 ...
