Army chief to chair high-level meeting on Karachi security today

KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif, is likely to visit Corps Headquarter in Karachi today to preside over a meeting on law-and-order situation, Samaa reported Tuesday.

During his visit, ISPR said, the army chief will be briefing over security situation in the city by the Corps Commander Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar.

The Army Chief will also be briefed about ongoing targeted operation against terrorists and criminal elements, ISPR said.

Sources said DG Rangers (Sindh) Major General Bilal Akbar, officials of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Military Intelligence (MI), Sindh Police IG Ghulam Haider Jamali and Chief Secretary would also attend the meeting

PA should not allow corrupt & treacherous politicians to become obstacle in their way of achieving total peace, if any corrupt & treacherous politicians tries to do anything unwanted against Pakistan & peace, PA should screw him. Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Altaf Hussain, Afsand Yar Wali, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Fazal ul Rahman & etc have really damaged Pakistan & are continuing to harm Pakistan.

Targeting the source is what is required, once that is taken out nothing can stop peace from spreading easily in Pakistan.
