If GOI , couldn't allow Army to push chines soldier back from their current position. Than GOI should let Army to handle this at tactical level.

I say, IA soldiers should set up their own tents 20 km deep inside chines perception of LAC in same ladakh area in some other strategically important sector, just like they are camping on our territory, and demand the same from chines gov. that either dismantle your side of infrastructure or else we will stay here, and If they use force to push our soldier back than lets just reciprocate the very same behavior with their 40 soldier on our territory.And if PLA soldier withdraw on thier own from our territory than we should call our boys back.

And by doing this, we wont be the one to use force first, just give a fu#kin tit for tat response GOI, how can you be so coward ? Stand up for god's sake!!!

Relax buddy....We need to be a little supportive here...The situation is little delicate and has the capacity to engulf us in broader manner....Army option should always be the last one....The border with China has more or less been peaceful and it would be bad for our interest if hostilities break out there....I am not saying the pride should be thrown apart but we should have confidence in us a bit more than what we are displaying over here...

I found the specific spot on the map. It is, indeed, on the Chinese side of the LAC by the Chinese perception. The Indian camp is just on the other side of the LAC by the Chinese perception.

The PLA is not going anywhere. This is a construction site for a new military base to check India's construction of a forward airstrip and adjacent air control tower 500 meters to 1 km away.

The Indian government has dug itself into a big hole by letting media and opposition paint this as 20 km inside Indian territory, forcing the Indian Army to act.

If the Indian Army acts, that would be the last mistake India makes as a unified country. South Asia can welcome many new smaller countries.

as per constitution he is bound to follow orders given by civilian govt.

Such statements do put Indian army in bad light though. This should be done in closed door where the Chief takes his stick and give a beating to the Khurshid guy. May be that will put some senses.

Things work a bit differently this side of the border....You need to be a bit more informed on the issue...let me share my thoughts

a) The area is manned by ITBP and not the Indian Army
b) There are different perceptions of LAC and as status quo both sides refrain from venturing too much and for too long in the areas which are not clearly demarcated.
c) Army Chief has put in all the options on the table and it is his political master who is supposed to decide. How the battle is going to be fought is the jurisdiction of the Army but the mandate to go for the fight lies with political class...

He is not hiding behind anyone, In-fact he is the one pressing the GOI since day one to allow him to handle this issue on tactical level. But No permission from GOI, He just can't act on his own without the direct Order's from The Prime Minister of India.

I know its hard for you to swallow this, things are quite opposite on your side!

And you should have known by now that its not IA which guards the Border with china, its ITBP ,which is a paramilitary force and falls directly under the command of Home Ministry not the Indian Army, Thats why IA has asked the Gov. to either deploy them on the border or hand over operational control of ITBP to Army, and so far both were rejected by GOI, because GOI believes in solving this matter via Diplomatic talks and so far they are failing drastically.

Bro...I am all for Good relation between India and China, In-fact when i joined this forum i was among the few Pro chines members and still i am, but not at the cost of sovereignty and Integrity of my nation. I also believe in peaceful resolution of this matter and i still believe that this issue should be resolved on table not in the war room, but we also need to understand that its been more than 16 days, 3 flag meeting so far all failed, back door diplomatic talks going on, chines envoy was summoned way back a week ago, Still No RESULTS MAN! And just yesterday reports came in they have setup 5th tent and now trying to make this current position as a permanent post by bring 6 x 6 heavy trucks and all sort of equipment to settle down here, bro...i believe chines are NOT in mood to leave this place, this is not just another incident, its a well planned incursion by them at a very strategically important place.

I hope you could have read today's newspaper, its 750 sq km of area at stake, which is equal to the half the size of New Delhi, and let me tell you this is very important strategic area because its the only table top flat plane area where we could have or we could use to gather our armed forces in case of conflict with china in future, rest of the terrain is too mountainous to be used on large scale military buildup.

We all need to understand this very well, the area where chines are right now is just 30 km away from our newly upgraded airstrip and chines can bomb the hell out of that airstrip from this very same spot by just using 155mm Artillery and i hope we are all well aware about the artillery power of PLA. So, i am really concern about all this and really pissed off by the response from our Government, i don't know what the hell they are doing, i think the longer the chines troops stay at this spot the stronger their position and will to stay here will become.

I hope this issue will get resolved peacefully but so far chances are very slim! This situation is bound to escalate unless chines troops withdraw from this position.
