Army begins testing domestically produced automatic grenade launcher

Daudsons Armoury has an exception being one of the oldest firearms manufacturer in Pakistan. They have been at this for many years now. They have essentially copied the Singaporean AGL from early 1990's. As the story goes is that when the Singaporeans sent their 40mm AGL for trials to Pakistan Army, they came here to demonstrate and found their AGL box opened and the AGL tampered with by 'someone'. They immediately complained but to no avail. This is also one of the reasons that Singaporeans never did any military business with Pakistan. I've visited DAUDSONS factory located just outside of Peshawar. They are very basic and employ Darra techniques of manufacturing bombs for PAF and other small arms
Interesting.

Worth noting that EXIM logs from 2016 show Daudsons importing a number of Denel AGLs. Could it be that they're just assembling Denel's and re-branding it as their own now?

Pakistan is wayyy behind in R&D of small arms mainly because of government policies . while the informal arms manufactures have come up with real wacky weapon utilizing such skills can very much develop our arms industry into a more independent and innovative one ..
But it all depends on how the gov implements policies related to small arms.
