do you know why type-56 is being used in CQB?

What other options are available? Its MP-5, Type-56 or G-3. When these units deploy, they need to have a weapon that can effectively engage targets out to 300M downrange and also in built up areas. The Type-56 SMG is the most feasible of the three unless the Army re-equips with another weapon.

I was looking for views on Type-56 as i discussed with infantry officers and they find MP5 ineffective, while saying that Type-56 has the punch.
