Arming the Rival's Enemy: Why Modi’s Visit to Vietnam Might Irk China

Are you sure the gap is 15 years?

Last visit by Indian PM to Vietnam was our PM Vajpayee in 2001 according to article.

Our former PM Manmohan Singh did visit in 2010, but that was part of the ASEAN-India summit and not a strict bilateral visit.

India's oil RIGS? Or spend billions from around the world to buy it?

We have made plenty of oil rigs for the bombay offshore oil field.

That was long time ago. Now we export and produce in other countries as well, just one example:

what can really India make to ink China, they brag about selling Brahmos since dawn age  and what is the big deal about that, I'm wondering why Vietnam interested to buy this Brahmos from India when themselves are depend from Russia for engine, there is plenty of high tech supplier such Israel, why they want to buy obsolete weapon from India unless India give away for free or at the very discount rate:rofl:

This is nothing but to grab China's attention...what a sensational new...LMAO

This is called shameless self praise. Of course, China will be shivering at the prospect.

Experts see this visit as a counterstroke to China's policy of arming India's rival Pakistan for decades. China has already done its worst. It is time for India to reciprocate amply in equal measure."

Well said! Growing too big for their boots, what? It's high time the Chinese are shown their place. It seems their egos are getting the better of them. They must think that they are still part of the Qing dynasty and thus stuck in a time warp.

Yes they are made in India, even exported to places like Oman. Various components may be sourced from other countries, but its all assembled within India at the Hazira facility (one example)

We are far behind China raw output still in anything marine related, but we are developing the base gradually. It should take-off over the next 5 - 10 years I think in this sector.

There is much to learn from China for sure.
