Armenia Finally Counters Pakistan’s Anti-Armenian Policies

.
Azerbaijan. Pakistan considers Armenian occupation of Azerbaijani territory to be akin to how India holds Jammu and Kashmir. In return, Azerbaijan has supported Pakistan internationally, and is one of the few nations that Pakistan can consider a real political ally.
But Pakistan recognises India as a state ofcourse deducting J&K from india.
But why dosent Pakistan recognise Armenia in its totality.

Pakistan's condition is similar to how it views Israel, no recognition until there is a proper a signed and agreed upon solution.

Pakistan's India-situation is far more complicated.

CSTO is led by Russia, countries like Armenia are free riders, had Armenia been of any value, CSTO would have intervened in its conflict with Azerbaijan. Back when I was in Canada i had an Armenian coworker, these people have venemous hatred for our Azeri and Turk brothers.
Remain assured by becoming part of SCO , Pak would naturally become observer in CSTO, which has regular military excercises with SCO countries, Armenia's big daddy Putin is willing to bring Pak into the loop, Armenians can't do s***t about it, they will have to capitulate under pressure, a useless country with no geopolitical value !!!

. . .
And what the hell is this ???

Some irrelevant group led by Russia. Such groups and trading blocs have become a mockery. They are popping up like mushrooms.

Pakistan should deal directly with allied countries. Joining such groups has many disadvantages. You become hostage to blackmail of participants.

For those who don't know the politics of Armenia, Al-Jazeera provided a good overview of the current economic and political crisis in Armenia. In short, Armenia is in economic decline while Azerbaijan is flourishing economically. Soviet Union backed Armenia and provided it weapons so the conflict in Nagorno Karabakh was in stalemate. With the rise of Azerbaijan economically and the fall of USSR, the balance of power has shifted in favor of Azerbaijan and Armenia can no longer maintain the status quo. To boot, Russia isn't seen as an honest broker and, worse still, a Russian soldier killed 7 member of a family last year. So Armenia is trying to carve out a foreign policy but I'm not sure Armenia has much to bargain with on the international stage.

Armenia Nixes Pakistan's Ties With CSTO

Armenia has blocked Pakistan from becoming an observer in the Collective Security Treaty Organization's parliamentary wing, the latest in a series of signs that Yerevan seeks to take a more assertive role in the Russia-led organization.

The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is an association of mostly rubber-stamp parliaments to an organization that is mostly a shell of an alliance, so it doesn't often offer much drama.

But last week saw some rare conflict in the CSTO PA as it met for a session in St Petersburg. During the event, Armenia's representative submitted a formal letter opposing a proposal to allow Pakistan to join as an observer. As a result the question was removed from the agenda, the Armenian representative, Eduard Sharmazanov, told Sputnik Armenia.

Armenia and Pakistan have a long-standing dispute: Pakistan not only supports Azerbaijan in its conflict with Armenia over Nagorno Karabakh, but goes so far as refusing to recognize Armenia's existence until it gives Karabakh back to Azerbaijan. "This position contradicts the approach both of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as of the CSTO," Sharmazanov said.

The episode seems to have been little covered in the media, and no comment from Pakistan or from any other CSTO member was reported. Pakistani media reported on the speech given by Pakistan's envoy to the event, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, but did not mention the issue of Pakistan's observer status.

China, India, Iran, and Mongolia also appear to have been invited as CSTO PA observers, along with Pakistan. (Afghanistan and Serbia are already observers.) Pakistan is set to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a full member; the SCO and CSTO share several of the same members, but Armenia is not in the SCO.

This all takes place as the CSTO continues to search for a new secretary general, who is supposed to be an Armenian, to take over from the current head Nikolay Bordyuzha. But other CSTO member states appear to have blocked Yerevan's earlier proposals for unclear reasons. And Armenia has been vocally complaining about the failure of some CSTO members -- particularly Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan -- for supporting their Muslim, Turkic ally Azerbaijan over their treaty ally Armenia. Will Armenia's eventual chairmanship of the CSTO have any effect over all this? It'll be interesting to see.
