Armed Forces Physical Fitness Tests of various armies

I beg to differ if it's about body type/ethicity or diet. Do check out meat per capita consumption of Pakistani and compare it to all regional,neighbouring countries.
And this:

P.A.C.E.S:Physical Agility and Combat Effenciey System.

looks like a show-shaa battalion, nothing more...these are all probably officer level...the real fighting arms of the PA is the usual PMA shortcourse 6 months trained "jawan" with very loose physical requirements.

There is nothing like a "shoo-shaw" battalion. PACE is a physical training system started in 2009 by Gen Kayani. And no it's not "officer" level. The last winner (September 2014) was an NCO.

Thee system is being followed by the entire army at all levels (you would have known that had you read posted by Prof members aka serving military posters).

Pakistan's goat meat consumption of 779,000 tons in 2011-12 ranks it among the top 3 in the world. 1.7 million tons of beef consumption in Pakistan is ranked 9th among beef consuming nations. In addition, 834,000 tons of poultry meat consumption puts it among world's top 20.

Along with rising meat consumption, there has also been a big surge in milk consumption with the ongoing livestock revolution in Pakistan. Pakistanis consumed nearly 39 million tons of milk in 2011-12, according to Economic Survey of Pakistan. This translates into 223 Kg of milk consumption per person which is about the same as the developed world's per capita milk consumption and more than twice that of neighboring India's 96 kg per capita.

Although meat consumption in Pakistan is rising, it still remains very low by world standards. At just 18 Kg per person, it's less than half of the world average of 42 Kg per capita meat consumption reported by the FAO.

For the Indian Army regulars:-

5 kms in 5 mins with 10 kgs load.

40-50 pushups in super slow mode(makes it more difficult)

20 chinups if you want a excellent ranking.

For Special Forces towards the end of training:-

70 kms in under 10 hours with 30 kg back pack.

2 kms sprint with full battle load in 9 mins.

50 pushups.

30 chinups.

40 kms in 6 hours with load.

a week without food on a long range patrol in dense forests.

Did not know that they started inducting non human soldiers... because humans cannot cover 10 km in 8.5 min....

5km in 5 min? with 10 kg ? ... it takes exactly 40 mins to talk with 10kg load.. i used to do it when i was in senior secondary.

Regulars do 5 kms in 25 mins every morning and it is called BPET and 2 kms in 9 mins with loads.50 pushups and 20 chinpus...depends on instructor to instructor for pushups sometimes it goes above 50 also.

SF do long runs of 40-70kms from 6-10 hours.

Are you one of those who think 5kms in 25 mins with 10 kgs is not doable?I have seen soldiers finish it in 24mins.

I run 5 kms in 25 mins everyday...but without 10kgs.

I havent run a 5 k for a long time, my last time was around 22 mins or so 2 years ago.

Covering that distance in 25 min with 8.5 kg (according to the article) is possible.

Regulars do it.If you want a excellent rating you got to do it under 25 mins.And bro,the load is almost 10kgs with the INSAS rifle,heavy water bottle,small bag and DMX boots.

Running is good.I would suggest you to start running again.

I am still running :P
Running is part of my life^^ But I have not run a 5 k run on time for 2 years. I run for 1 hour twice a week and two sessions of interval training.

That was a dreaded name. I remember our batman bhaiyas trying to skip it. Lol.
