An all out thermonuclear war bet the US and Russia means Destruction, Drought, Famine & epidemics throughout the world

Precisely! Keyboard warriors don't seem to take that into account.

The US doesn't have the guts to fight with Russia.

And Russia has only the guts to attack small neighbours because thats about as far as its projection of power, and why would they want to attack America, who would attack a nation which has the capability to send massive naval forces to anywhere in the world and smash everything to pieces. The only issues to world safety are USA vs China, Russia does not have anyway near the capability of you chinks and yanks.

The likelihood of that happening? I would say the earth being destroyed by aliens is more likely than Nuclear war.
