I am in favor, I also support such provinces based on administrative units not on race or language. That said I will only support an elected government in taking such decisions which has a majority in parliament (or a coalition with majority). I won't support thugs like Qadri or mavericks like IK unless they reach the parliament on general elections of 2018 with simple majority.

Yes there should be more provinces based on administration but 35 is a very unrealistic number. From 4 there should be an addition of gilgit baltistan and Fata which makes it 6. The division of punjab as its a very large populated province and it needs to be divided especially south punjab for better administration. One can also make the case for northern sindh and southern KPK.

if it was upto me, I would make at least 4 provinces out of each, especially given the size of population and resources, i would divide punjab into 5,
- Rawalpindi
- Multan
- Lahore
- Sargodha
- sahiwal

if 35 is the number you have in mind, then I would say they will not be provinces rather adminstrative units, and then we should abolish the provincial system and make Administrative units out of our country

According to the constitution only the elected assemblies of a province can decide the division of that province and for that purpose the assembly must pass a resolution with 75 % of the assembly members voting in favor of such resolution. The federal government then needs to pass resolution with two third majority in both national assembly and the senate to carve out a new province. So it is pretty much herculean task and perhaps intentionally made so by those who formulated the constitution of pakistan.
As you can see only the pronvince can decide if it wants to divide itself, the federal government cannot impose any division to any province according to the constitution of pakistan.

- Sukkur - reaching upto Sehwan , daddu,
- Hyderabad - reaching to badin gularchi

Well that is a massive ofcourse and i truly dont support non-constitutional methods of creating new provinces. Creating new provinces is no joke thus the long procedure. I was just saying that i would support such resolution. Frankly i dont see any new provinces being carved out in pakistan as all the 4 provinces love their provinces intact. I do see new provinces like gilgit baltistan and fata coming in the future.

New provinces should be formed 4 administrative units for a population of 180 million and that too without any local government system is plain ridiculous....but you need consensus for this and i don't see that happening in the forseeable future

i only mentioned because these two has openly said about divisions should be turned into provinces....
i think Punjab assembly has already passed bill for south Punjab before 2013 election....

PPP did work hard in their last tenture to divide the province but that was all for political gains---
Rightly said that dividing province is a no one day game and takes time, but for starters, initiatives have to been taken, and I dont even see anyone talking in assembly for that
Even if we postpone the idea of new provinces, we will be on good start with Local Body Election, but the bureaucratic structure specially Pakistan Administrative Service is too strong to let them happen, after all, they will be loosing all their powers with LBG
