and Islam and Military dictatorship are fully compatible. Right !!Islam and democracy are incompatible . Ultimately , we will have to choose one of them . A military dictatorship would be much better than a Deoband Emirate led by some filthy Mullah (self claimed Khalifa tul muslimeen)

It seems like the parliament headed by PML-N is on a firm course of collision with the Establishment once again. Almost a decade in exile and Mr Prime Minister is yet to learn from his mistakes. The "Dick-Measuring-Contest" currently being organized solely by PML-N, might yield undesirable effects. All efforts to Dictate the Dictators will come crumbling down the drain.
For the sake of "Democracy" we're headed for a division amongst an already divided state. A state where armed militia are declared as stakeholders and organized gangs roam free promoting sectarian violence, least of Mr Shareef's worry should be to prove an ex Army Chief as a Traitor. Chief of Army Staff, once held by Musharraf, and currently by the brother of a "Nishan-e-Haider" recipient. The valiant son of the soil that laid his life down to engrave his name amongst the ranks of the brave Men of Pakistan Army, is not forgotten by the Nation of "Limited" Heroes. One can't help but wonder whether Pakistan's Current Army Chief is being given a rather glorious option to go down in the history books aswell? Only time will tell.
Pakistan's so-called "Government" is on the verge of chaos. 10 months and we're still "Drafting" policies on countering Terrorism. The Government seems to lack a spine and seems to be missing concrete "Leadership". Every day is treated as a virgin frontier and "Short-Term" solutions are utilized for problems that require a long-term strategic plan. The task of eliminating an invisible enemy now in thousands all over the state is yet again being shoved down Pakistan Military's throat without any strategic planning whatsoever. Our collective death toll as a nation will continue to rise while the Government dreams of bringing "Investment" into world's 2nd most dangerous place to be after Iraq. Long-term Investment strategies on the basis of short-term "Commissions" might seem lucrative enough for all Political Parties involved in the Parliament but only a fool could craft such a magnificent dream to hope for economic growth without providing the very basics of security. Perhaps that's why our "Leadership" is so fond of protecting the "Democratic" system instead of formulating effective strategics to protect its citizens. 10 months and we've yet to decide where we stand on the Taliban Issue. 10 months and we've yet to transfer power to the people. 10 months and our most important issue is the consumption of Alcohol in parliament lodges. 10 months and our most important achievement so far is breaking hundreds of walnuts with our foreheads.
Fashion statement as it may be but the reality is that Pakistan's once again going through a "Nazuk Mor" in its history. The only difference this time around is the educated, slightly aware and enlightened people of the state and establishment are now eager to realize that neither "Sharia" nor "Democracy" is the system to run a diversity rich Pakistan. Perhaps there's a realization in the making that we'd have to custom-design our state rules & regulations and perhaps one such unique "Constitution" is already being drafted & approved by the "Men In Charge" who aren't so far away from presenting it to the common joe's of our deeply catastrophic state. A movement to rebuild the foundations of Pakistan might just be on its way. How far along is the execution? Only time will tell.

the military has too much on its plate at this time. an internal insurgency in FATA and to some extent in baluchistan. on top of that the military has to keep an eye on India as well as Afghanistan. as long as the US/west keep supporting a democratic Pakistan and the Pakistani govt. finally realises that it has to solve its own problems itself, economic/power sector being the most critical, then Pakistan can avoid the 'nazak mor' syndrome. the days of military takovers are almost over.....but the army will continue to put pressure on the govt. to ensure that there is no interference in its 'sand-box' as referred by the former CoAS.
