I don't think those nukes in the nato airbase are reliable, they are US made so they most likely have a kill switch. We need our own 100% homemade nukes, maybe with Pakistans help, but we need to control the chips and computers and all that ourselves 100%.
I read a article over 10 years ago in a turkish defence magazine by a high ranking military officer, it said even the F16's had kill switch in them, that US could shut them down so they wouldn't work.
I think that is the main reason for turkish TFX fighter jet. We need 100% control of our weapons.
I wonder how much kill switch was put into action during the iraq war, probably a lot that we don't know about. The iraq military was pretty strong, then fell like a house of cards, something doesn't add up.
You are right about that, didn't Turkey fixed a kill switch in one of their radars that wasn't detecting Israel?

Anyway, Pakistan can surely help you in that regard (but under the table).
When Pakistan did it, we kept them confused for years, they have their satellites up in the air.
They continuously watched our sensitive buildings. One of the many things that we did to keep them confused is we loaded our trucks with suspicious material and continued to send them from one location to another location they kept their eyes on those trucks while we developed our nukes.
We were badly sanctioned after that, we knew it will happen, but we did, because we knew it was necessary for our own survival.
We had a very large, hostile neighbor right next to us, who had developed nukes.
They had created a terrorist proxy in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and they have found waging a proxy war in Baluchistan, we caught one of their top guys a few months ago.
You have USA as your Enemy, you have Russia as your enemy (believe it or not).
The threat Pakistan faces is nothing compared to the threat Turkey faces.
You will be sanctioned if you did that they may even declare a war, you need to be prepared.
