Arabs lose faith in Western democracy to deliver economic stability: BBC

There is no real communist country, let alone a successful communist country.
That is the typical and cheap way to weasel out the question. I seen it all the time among the naive college educated crowd in the 40+ yrs I been living in the US. No one bought it then, and no one, not even your China, is buying it now.

You do have rigid kind of thinking

Democracy in principle is the same like Consultation defined in Quran talking about how problem should be solved which is to include consultation system, which tell about discussion among society. Quran doesnt talk about who should be the actors during the consultation process, so it shows Quran understand the way consultation system is implemented can be vary.

Madinah state for instant is similar like what happen in ancient Greece during their democracy where one prominent city become the main political actors which is in this regard talking about two main power within the society which are Anshar and Quraish Tribe. These are represent of people, not chosen Ulama in many way. This is why I ask you to read Muhammad biography, there was Anshar leader that wants to be leader competing Abu Bakr and he is political leader, not Ulama in the way you think.

Consultation can be in many form, it is ridiculous to implement Today democracy during 7 century in Arabia, but in principle is the same, this is why the political actors during that period are prominent members in both Quraish and Anshar clan ( tribe ), and prominent members in each clan of course are chosen by people as well in traditional term, don think there will be voting machine like Today LOL

Why do you think I didn't read Prophet Mohammad's (SW) biography? I did.

The way you are expanding the definition of democracy, if you continue even the kingdoms and sultanates can be called democracy. Democracy has a specific meaning in the modern world and that is, "by the people, of the people, for the people". You can say few influential or powerful people consult among themselves and choose a ruler and call it a democracy but it's not.

Yes I agree it wasn't possible in the 7th century Arabia, I never said it was. But that doesn't mean just because some sahaba consulted to choose a ruler, Islam had democracy. Islam never had democracy.

Muslim has started democracy since Muslim made their first nation in Madinah. The first President of Muslim is prophet Muhammad.

The first Caliph who is Abu Bakar was elected by debate between two main political power, Anshar Tribe and Quraish tribe, there was debate and voting. You can read the process in prophet Muhammad history made by famous and respected Egyptian historian, Muhammad Haikal.

No, we will never give up.

Building a world where everyone is equal, without war and poverty is always our ultimate pursuit.

Even if we fail 10000 times, even if we need to pay the efforts of generations, we will not give up our ideals.

为天地立心,
为生民立命,
为往圣继绝学,
为万世开太平.
----横渠四句

Set spiritual values for the society in general.
Create good living conditions for the human.
Perpetuate waning wisdom of ancient sages.
Let the world be peaceful forever.
----HengQu 4 ideals.
(I hope my translation is correct)

These are ideals that our ancestors fought for 5000 years.
We Chinese have always believed that all people, whether Africans, Europeans or Asians, have the right to live a rich life. The world must become equal and decent. If it doesn't want to be decent, we'll help it be decent.

Go live in democratic Australia

Your thinking is similar like Ulama (cleric) that can be found in Mosque saying democracy is not Islamic, but then you will have different understanding when you talk to Phd in Islamic study. I do have family member in Phd in Islamic study so I dont talk nonsense

I see you are among some sect in Muslim society that say Democracy is not Islamic, Taliban also has the same view as yours

There are other Muslim who understand Democracy is very Islamic.

In this regard we have different understanding, and please respect other person (other Muslim) opinion

It has nothing to do with democracy or communism, but rather rule of law and the right environment for investment. Reality, in the ME and Africa few families (mostly dictators) control all the wealth and levers of power which basically makes rest of the country worthless.
It's true in most "democratic capitalist countries"

Bro I don't think you even understand my posts. You somehow thought I am saying democracy is not Islamic. But thanks anyway.

There's a growing perception that Western democracy is not a perfect form of government, and it won't fix everything, Michael Robbins, director of the Arab Barometer, was quoted as saying.

LONDON, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Arabs are losing faith in Western democracy to deliver economic stability across the Middle East and North Africa, the BBC reported on Sunday, citing a latest survey.
I will be blunt about this...We do not care on what the Arab countries thinks about democracy and economic stability.

There's a growing perception that Western democracy is not a perfect form of government, and it won't fix everything, the report cited Michael Robbins, director of the Arab Barometer,...
As if what the Arabs have now is so much better.

Micheal Douglas did a good job to show how US electoral democracy works today.

No...Enough of you guys here categorically deny that China is a 'communist' country. Y'all need to make you yer minds.
If China isn't communist country, what is it? China is ruled by CCP. Stated owned companies control most critical fields. Definitely not capitalist.

In my opinion, democracy is not yet perfect.

So when people talk about democracy, if they talk good about it, they tend to talk about an idea of democracy.

If they talk bad about it, they tend to talk about the implementation of democracy.

But for now, the best system in the world is China.

There are many things we can learn from China.

Democracy is not a religion.

It should be reformed and perfected over time.

Democracy is just a tool to serve us, it's below us, not above us.

Of course it is still capitalist and many nations with market system has huge SOE as well like Indonesia, Saudi Arabia (Aramco), etc

It is still capitalist but with large government intervention. It is not liberal capitalist, but still regarded as using market system and capitalist system. The correct term is mixed economies with maket system, definately not communist system.

Mixed economies with large SOE dominating the economies is the result of socialism tendency. Both socialim and communism comes from religion by the way. Communism is mimiking old traditional ancient Jews tribe that is very religous, there is still a tribe in Israel practicing it

Karl Max is Jews, so he, I believe, gets inspired by that ancient Jews tribe living
