The Arab world needs to come together under Saudi-Egyptian leadership to push back against the ambitions of regional rivals Iran and Turkey, a U.A.E. minister has said.

“The Arab world is at an impasse and the solution is to cooperate in the face of surrounding regional ambitions,” U.A.E. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said Wednesday on Twitter. “The sectarian and partisan approach is not an acceptable alternative. The Arab world will not be led by Tehran and Ankara.”

The U.A.E. call for unity under the flag of the Arab world’s most powerful nations comes at a time of intensified rivalry for regional hegemony between Saudi Arabia and Iran, as played out in a series of proxy conflicts across the Middle East. Turkey’s warming ties with Iran and support for Qatar in its dispute with a Saudi-led group of Arab states have been another point of contention.

Earlier this week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan feuded with the U.A.E. over another minister’s derision of a legendary Turkish officer, whom he referred to as “Erdogan’s ancestor.”

Gargash’s comments follow a state visit to Sudan by Erdogan, where the countries agreed they’ll jointly build a port on the Red Sea to service civilian and military ships, and that Sudan’s Suakin Island will be opened to Turkish investment, according to Turkey’s state-run Anadolu news agency.

The agreement was signed as the U.A.E. seeks to expand its military reach in the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa coast.

. . . . . . .
Isn't it ironic that GCC states are among the most progressive in the Islamic bloc?

In comparison, look at Iran.

Turkey also seems to be conflicted and/or confused.

Way forward is through "mutual understanding and respect," not through dictate, exporting ideologies and interventions.

. .
Turkey/Iran and the rest should have non Arab or at least some non oil Arab states to make united coalition. Add Syria and Yemen to the list, I am sure they will join since they have tasted Saudi oil ideology.

Why some Muslim people hate GCC, just because they are rich?

Rich and dangerous if you do not follow their slave mentality your country will be bombed or ISIS will be under your bed.

. .
Well , it seems like Arabs will ultimately outsource the leadership to Israel. Israel will become a member of GCC and Arab League.

.
I think it's fair to say that some might in fact be like that. I think it's a fair question that you asked.

It is similar situation to NATO were Germans are getting fed up and want to leave .
You see Muslims countries revolve around the holy land that is the control centre however that is run by bunch of idiots which end up hurting other nations and other nations are fed up with this betrayal.
They make so much from hajj money, trade, oil, etc but they give pittance to other nation to ki ss their feet while fund the big Satan USA which is like steroids for their military industrial complex.
You see it is every Muslims duty to protect the holy land but these parasites take advantage of it and exploit the masses. Which divides the population in two or more groups so you have one group saying we should forget ummah and the other is saying we should stick to supporting ummah because that is the Islamic order.

Why some Muslim people hate GCC, just because they are rich?

why some Arabian dictatorial regimes hate Turkey and ERDOGAN , because He is not puppet to The US and Arabs love Turkey and ERDOGAN more than Royal Families in Saudi Arabia and Uae or ASSAD in Syria or SISI in Egypt ?

Turkish President ERDOGAN most popular Leader in the Middle East
