Except they don't. They have a moral duty of care towards water sharing with neighbouring countries/communities who have been dependent on this source of water for centuries. How would you like it if India restricted water from the Indus basin into Pakistan? What type of response would you call for? Similarly, Egypt simply wants to protect water flow to the Nile that maintains its communities. Egypt isn't against the dam or it being filled, it simply doesn't want the flow drastically reduced as Ethiopia is planning to fill at a fast rate.

Ethiopia is an amazing country but this political leadership needs to think clearly about its actions, otherwise Egypt may have no other choice than to send over a flight of Rafales/F-16s to take care of the problem.
