I understand why they would have an issue with a statue, may it be placed anywhere else, fair enough. But having it situated outside the highest courts where I presume they follow the medina charter (dastur medina) is a bit wrong.

I'm not going to go into the argument of iconoclasm, and shirk, etc but of all the things to protest about why something so minor? If these people are such ardent Muslims, why not bring up more urgent and pressing issues effecting Muslims into the light? better yet, since they are already protesting at the Supreme Court, why not protest about corruption in the judiciary system? A statue's existence or non-existence will mean nothing to anyone in the long run.
