Apple Launches A Credit Card

I was actually curious and decided to look up the matter from several different sources.

Basically from what I understand, there is small hit to a persons fico scores if none of their trade lines are used in a while. YMMV of course.

And 816 is like a golden number to me. Mine are in the mid to upper 700s.

As of right now, I have no plans to try and open an Apple credit card when it’s available just for the sake of opening it.

Just don't cancel old cards. I still have 2 of the cards I got when I grabbed their applications off the wall in college. I'd have all 4 if 2 didn't cancel me for non-use of their cards.

BTW I haven't fluctuated much from that 817 in 2005. Seems to bounce from 812 to 820.

Of course, having a longer length of credit years is good.

And your scores are enough to pretty much get you the best rates in the biz.

My guess is I am in the tier 2 category
