This is the face of Pakistan that the world sees.
Oh dallay dont insult ashiqs
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out she indeed broke blasphemy laws, and I find it even more interesting how members on this forum are using this opportunity to further their cynical agendas and distort while offering solutions that would only hinder the progress and preparations Pakistan MUST make.

Again the simple-minded Muslim majority in Pakistan have fallen to the trap set against them. They look like uncontrollable animals, Hindu mob-like, with no strategic capacity to see the bigger picture.

These easily swayed conservative Muslim groups need a stern talking to, and re-education on what their limitations in society should be, by our protectors. There should be arrests made over the next few weeks on those who committed violent protests and be televised nationally, essentially showing Pakistan’s strong governance and order from law.

That lady should be left alone who has paid for her crime already by spending many years facing four walls.

The blasphemy law needs to be changed to prison terms only, (a 4/6 year punishment will suffice and deter any public orientated blasphemers).

More importantly, for future reference, the burden of proof should be on the individual or group (s) who claim blasphemy against an individual or group (s). This will (1) dramatically reduce the number of fake accusations against innocent parties (2) force the blasphemer (S) to limit their hate by only spewing it in private.

Over time those that become tired of hating in private will eventually propagate it in public. Subsequently, the system will take its course and punish when and where required.

Incidentally, those of you on this forum that have been advocating the murder of mass conservative Muslims in Pakistan over violently protesting are no better.

The blasphemy law MUST be amended, which will stabilise civil unrest and reduce the chances of a potential surge in mob violence while reducing pressure on the legal industry, amongst other benefits.

I don’t feel our prophet will be hurt if someone wants to insult him privately.

Ultimately this is a small issue that needs quick fixing. The country needs stability to focus on FDI opportunities and to be ready for real challenges, which are around the corner.
Hope Katie Hopkins and Tomi Robinsons win
basically anyone can kill anyone in Pakistan on no basis even!

Most likely she said things in anger during the argument with the other women. The 2 lower courts did give her the death penalty which means she is probably guilty. Regarding the sentence I think she has served around 9 years in custody so that should be enough and the SC should have mentioned that. The Mullahs must accept that not every person accused of blasphemy must be put to death.

madrassahs should be closed through out the country.

Sheepistani's are least bothered by the bad press Pakistan is getting all over the world...But hey it's the political correctness that matters, who cares about the desecration of the national image :tsk:.

It's paradoxical to hail this man as a hero when with assertions like that he is brining infamy to Pakistan, akin to what the so-called Islamists are doing. A blemish to country's image for whatever reason will haunt everyone equally regardless the side you are on. Speaking high of this man wont earn anyone a trophy when your national identity has been tainted at large. :coffee:

*Why do I even bother......* @Mentee

Seriously these illiterate baboons are a laughing stock in the world, they are jahil, idiots who think they can take the law into their own hands, Protesting peacefully is everyone's right but not resorting to violence and disrupting people's lives, Seems CJ is shit scared why does he not take suo moto and summon Khadim Razvi, but yet he is too quick to poke his nose into GOP petty issues.

Saif-ul-Mulook, a Pakistani lawyer for Christian mother Asia Bibi, arrives at the Supreme Court in Islamabad on October 31, 2018. Pakistan's Supreme Court on October 31 overturned the conviction of a Christian mother facing execution for blasphemy in a landmark case which has incited deadly violence and reached as far as the Vatican. ISLAMABAD: After saving condemned Christian Asia Bibi from the gallows in Pakistan, her lawyer says he is facing the wrath of Islamist extremists — and wonders who will save him.
But despite the threats against him, Saif-ul-Mulook says he regrets nothing, and will continue his legal fight against intolerance.
Mulook’s latest victory saw the freeing of Asia Bibi — a Christian woman convicted of blasphemy, who spent nearly a decade on death row — after the Supreme Court overturned her conviction Wednesday.
“The verdict has shown that the poor, the minorities and the lowest segments of society can get justice in this country despite its shortcomings,” he told AFP immediately after the verdict.
“This is the biggest and happiest day of my life.”
Demonstrations against the ruling erupted across the country hours later, with extremists calling for mutiny against the army’s top brass, and for the assassination of Supreme Court justices.
Blasphemy is a highly inflammatory charge in Muslim-majority Pakistan, where even the slightest whiff of insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad can incite vigilante mobs.
Mulook said he feels he is now a sitting duck with no security or escape plan.
“I think I have absolutely no safety. No security and I am the easiest target... anybody can kill me,” he said.
The defense of Bibi was just the latest in a long line of controversial cases taken up by the barrister.
In 2011, Mulook was the lead prosecutor against Mumtaz Qadri over the assassination of Punjab governor Salman Taseer — a prominent critic of the country’s blasphemy laws and supporter of Bibi.
Qadri — one of Taseer’s bodyguards — gunned down his boss in broad daylight, citing the governor’s calls for reform of the blasphemy laws as his motive.
Mulook said he took on the case as others cowered, fearing reprisals from extremists.
His prosecution resulted in the conviction and subsequent execution of Qadri, who was feted by Islamists and later honored with a shrine on the outskirts of Islamabad.
Mulook says his life has not been the same since; he rarely socializes, lives in a constant state of hypervigilance and has been inundated with threats.
“If you conduct such cases you should be ready for the results and the consequences,” the greying 62-year-old explains.
But Mulook said the risks have been worth the reward.
“I think it’s better to die as a brave and strong man than to die as a mouse and fearful person,” he said.
“I extend my legal help to all people.”

This punk uses one word "intolerance" to absolve or rather win himself compassion. Yet his argument is any nitwit can go ahead and disparage the sanctity of the Prophet!

World's Bravest Man.
Umm... shut up idiot. You do not know what is going on in Pakistan.

Although I am of the opinion that Asia Bibi is innocent, if she did insult the Prophet Muhammad (saw), Allah can punish her in this lifetime or in the hereafter.
