You planned visiting Brazil after watching Rio cartoon movie or after playing Angry birds or just random trip?

Well Rio de Janeiro seems to be a very beautiful location. I would love to visit one day but no money

Some popular sights are listed in this link

old enough :) and I'm going with a couple of friends

Well ok from the top of my head, There's Christ the Redeemer Statue(Cocrovado) its part of a National Park, Sugar Loaf Mountain(pretty amazing view of the city from here), Copacabana beach(very busy), Arpoador Beach, Ipanema beach, Rodrigos something lake, Botanical gardens, Modern Art Museum, Fine arts museum, Sao Bento Monestry, H Stern jewellery museum, Flamengo district, CCBB (artsy fartsy area).

Plan everything in advance and try and avoid walking around on foot after sunset, cabs are safe, stay in a group and avoid taking all your cash with you. Just take some sorta ID, one credit card and maybe 200-300 Real max. Try and get Fodor's travel guide for Rio, I found it pretty useful and refer to it when you are in your hotel, don't walk around with a map or a travel guide, basically try not to look too "touristy".

Its not as scary as am making it sound like but better be safe than sorry.

Thanks, that was helpful!

And yeah I know Rio isn't exactly the safest place in the world...but then again parts of most major cities (or any city at night) aren't exactly safe

Yeah if I bump into her I'll ask!
