My Uncle was bank manager for Habib Bank New York Branch in the 1990s and 2000s and no its not related to Habib American Bank thats seperate, it got shut down by the FDIC like last year force to shutdown operations in the States

Well, it's about my dad's account. He opened a Foreign Currency Account back in early 1990s. He is now 88 and with early onset of dementia and we need to sort out our affairs. The land we have in Pakistan is sorted out but two accounts in Pakistan are still unresolved. The money is in excess of £300k. Part of this was kept secret from us [children]. But now he has giveb us details or part details. We need to shift that money before he loses his sense entirely.

You need to trace out the banks and coordinate with them to trace out the account data and how much amount was transferred by them to SBP. Banks do this exercise every year.

If he had opened an account in 1990s then this would have been in a bank that established prior to 2000. Most probably NBP and other govt banks and private banks like ABL,MCB,UBL,Askari Bank, HBL and Bank Al-Habib e.t.c

You need to trace out the banks and coordinate with them to trace out the account data and how much amount was transferred by them to SBP. Banks do this exercise every year.

It may be difficult to get to Citibank through the numbers they post because they are always down (old and donot exist). Try finding someone from linkedin from Citi Pakistan. Some of them might have their phone numbers listed on their profile. They have a very small operation in Pakistan.

You want to work in Citibank Pakistan? They rarely post jobs but most are back office general accounting type. Chances are they would prefer a woman over a dude. They have a derivatives desk but as far as I know they have been occupied by the same two guys.
