Hi,

I am wondering if we have any serious cricket players aboard?

I have been playing cricket at school/ college/ university level for a while now. Played in England too for some time.

Now back in Pakistan, I have registered myself with a local club.

I am a wicket keeper + top order batsmen.

So any other player we have here?

Massive in Yorkshire.Good standard of cricket too. We have 3 players in the Yorkshire and 2 have represented England.

well ab itna time hi nahi hota

used to play couple of years back but now everybody is busy in their lives so you hardly get time for entertainment. Whenever I find few days off from work, I prefer to travel around Europe and England. Whenever few friends get together we just go to Central London area or watch a movie in Cinema. Nothing much to do - We used to play cricket back in 2009 but the life is getting tougher and tougher day by day :(

Technically I abandoned playing cricket back in 2003/04 but continued playing once or twice in 3 months until 2009. Can't remember I played cricket after that period.

I used to be an all-rounder and preferably opening batsmen

How old are you Zaki if you don't mind me asking?

Actually I have learnt that the best age of playing cricket is between 22-28. Before that you are more like a non serious, unprofessional and inexperienced young kid. With age and experience, you start to perform better and enjoy the game in full spirit ( in my case atleast).

Earlier i used to be only concerned with "apni baari" and gave a damn if the team won or lost

Who are those 3 players? And do you play as well?

Adil Rasid (legy and a batter - played for England)
Ajmal Shezhad(fast bowler - played for England)
Azeem Rafiq (spin and a batter - captained England juniors U17)

I remember Adil Rashid and heard about ajmal Shehzad.

Do you play yourself as well? If yes than at what level?

I am in same situation like Zaki .. left Cricket once came here in USA may before that when got first job .. back in India it cricekt was only pass-time and hobby for me.
Whenever get chance we used to play Cricket.. some times early in Morning to avoid other teams on ground or some times night matches on Saturday ..
After reading thread, slipped into those old good memories of friends and cricket and those all shouting for no-ball or run out ....
Collecting 1 rupee from every one to get new ball and giving more importance to some newcomer with new bat ...
FYI : I was not that good player or may others in my team were lot better :)
