There are run of the mill sci-fi movies for mass consumption and then there are real sci-fi films with breathtaking visuals or completely mind-boggling stories to tell. It depends on what your preference is at the time. The list I gave, along with some of yours, contain some of the best path-breaking films in the sci-fi category.
