See, that's what I mean don't bring any western propaganda to here.

Not one Chinese author has written on the great leap forward and resulting famine?

Not even one?

That's weird, I remember reading some of their work and analysis myself. Was I imagining it all?

You tell me what CPC own analysis on the famine is (now) and Mao actions regd it were. Lets hear it. Does it count towards the good/bad side (as Deng put it) of Mao?

We all know why Mao status has to be maintained. That's a subject we can get into if you want. Again its not a pleasant one to shed light on.

If you like to talk about starved, killing? You really are so naive.

Why? Its consequence of exact same thinking process still in major play today among your winnie-the-pooh uniparty govt.

Why you not talk about how many people have killed in the world by Western country?

Because that's not the subject here in this thread now is it?

Others doing bad, dont justify you doing bad.

How basic is this to understand?

Or are you saying thats a good thing and you can also claim it then to be a good thing?

You are a Indian but you forgot how British killed and slaved your Ancestor but you kneed down to them. How shame are you.

We dont put British people portraits and venerate them as great leaders of our country and keep mausoleums for them or print them on our currency or justify the crap they did simply to have some artificial legacy going for govt.

We criticize them plenty...and we criticize our own leaders too as we want and when we want.

So don't talk about what I or we have "forgotten"....just to try imply what you are doing is somehow justified. We aren't going to be on same page as you just because we suffered under colonial yoke. That is a particularly bad strawman to use.

It's like saying you have forgotten what the Japanese did to you in WW2, whenever you criticize something in India (as anyone has a right to). Complete stupid argument.

Things are either right or wrong (sometimes clearly, sometimes up for debate still)...and simply we need to discuss/debate (the latter) whether they are right or wrong (and we can change our opinion on it if a strong enough argument and logic is presented).

Not justify (or even promote) a clear wrong because another does/did a clear wrong too at some point in time and space.

difference is that China won against Japan after 12 years of war. Japan signed the surrender document, all their influence was taken away, they even lost Korea and Taiwan. UK enslaved India for 100+ years and was richly rewarded for it.

I find it funny that you think that there's some "truth" out there and that this "truth" will vindicate you even if you are downtrodden and put under the conqueror's boot. That is exactly how the Qing Dynasty thought. They thought, how could the British possibly be so strong, they don't understand Confucianism, they don't know the truth of human nature. And they paid the price.

There's a Chinese saying "秀才遇到兵,有理说不清". "When the scholar meets the soldier, it doesn't matter how rational the scholar is." This was the #1 lesson taught to us by the UK and Japan. India is a poor student if they failed to learn that.

Its easy to see where it would have gone if the West (specifically "beautiful country") didn't intervene through the pacific war and burmese theatre (because of Japan's own overreaching ego and stupidity regarding that). Don't kid yourself. China played very little role (of major consequence) in its own liberation.

Century of humiliation ring a bell? 100+ years doesnt need outright colonialism to serve as "enslavement"...and large part of reason why much smaller Japan did what it did (evil as lot of it was) quite easily and with little retribution on it from your hands.

None of this is getting at the point I was making or the subject of this thread. If you want to point score on this stuff, keep going.

None of it excuses or justifies the bad the CPC did and continues to do....be it Mao or Xi....and the consequence of enforcing the one-party system and allowing no consequential criticism of it by the people. Its a Machiavellian underling system through and through.

Why is Machiavellian bad?

Why is Machiavellian bad?

Its not necessarily bad or good on the face of it....like everything in politics its simply a political means to some end.

But the how, the why and the scale it has imprinted specifically somewhere downstream can be bad especially among those it imposes cost on with no challenge (i.e those who have no cards to stake and play in it all in any forseeable or effective way).

Again this is why its important for as many people as possible to analyse and discuss whats good and bad in something that bears immense scope in a large broader part of their and their future generation existence and livelihoods.

Why do you even try to have a discussion with someone who doesnt see hear or speak?

The intent (for me) is not him, but people/argument more broadly.

This is staging ground and sounding board....you never quite know who might come by and add a point or counterpoint that gives insight you never thought of before.

Indians are like the Qing Dynasty Confucianists, obsessed with "right" or "wrong", when the real question you should be asking is, are you strong or weak? I'm not saying that right is bad, wrong is good, or whatever. It's more like right and wrong are fundamentally useless questions.

Was imperial Britain or Japan right and just? No, they weren't. That did not prevent them from being richly rewarded for their barbarism.

I knew that was your objective but as long as there is ''tunnel vision'',it doesnt matter what ''who'' adds,a point or counterpoint.
It doesnt change the pov of your opponent,it never will.
I'm sure you got what i just added.
Lets see if someone else gets it.

OK we are just going to have to agree to disagree now.

You have fully subscribed to "might is right" it seems. This is where I cannot continue a path of discussion.

Most of his videos before this were just fun videos you can see anywhere on YouTube. Imagine being so horrible of a country that a even a Logan Paul ripoff can't even stand you.

Edit: this is the kind of videos he made before he became more critical of China.

I suspect they are CIA agents assigned to talk bad about China and CCP to world.
I am not saying that CCP cannot be bad, but these persons obviously have special mission. Their video content is consistent with that mission. Dont fall for their initial video that may be intended to frame their future video avoid from people suspicion on their original mission. They could pretend to be teacher, husband of chinese woman etc.

Close. But a piss poor China whupped America's *** in 1950. So that kinda balances it out. India doesn't have anything of that sort. It's one major reason why Mao is revered.

print them on our currency

Don't be silly. Prior to 1949, there was a famine in someplace or other in China every few decade. Mao tumbled exactly once. If we are going by that metric, here is another number for you - China's population more than doubled under Mao.

Here are the basics -

1. The CPC under Mao whupped US in Korea.
2. Brought the entire mainland under central rule.
3. Introduced universal education and basic healthcare.
4. Achieved baseline industrialization.
5. Got nuclear deterrence.

You just compared this guy with the Anglos - "put his photo on currency". Embarrassing.

You have fully subscribed to "might is right" it seems.

Remember the old man - "Power emanates from the barrel of the gun" ;)

I'm sure he wants hits. But remember they aren't specifically saying he is lying. They do say he exaggerates but even then they just make a bunch of "non-specific generalizations".

OK, I can point out one of his lie.
In his video 2:11, he said his kid can't go school and locked inside house because the Chinese government didn't warn anyone about this and didn't stop the virus spreading from Wuhan. Then he mentioned Government did stop the people in Wuhan from spreading domestically but not stopping them from going outside the country.

The fact is that China CDC informed WHO about a cluster of cases of pneumonia in Wuhan on 31 Dec 2019. Wuhan city was entirely shutdown on 23 Jan 2020 to stop the spreading of the virus. When Wuhan city was on lock down the airports and railway stations were shutdown as well, they couldn't go anywhere. I believe, this guy is deliberately to spread misinformation to gain views, because that's what the China haters in the west want to hear.
