ANP prominent leader gunned down in Peshawar: Police

PESHAWAR – Awami National Party (ANP) leader Ibrar Khalil was gunned down along with his nephew in Peshawar.

As per details acquired, the incident occurred in vicinity of Peshawar’s Tahkal Police Station.

The deceased ANP leader had announced to contest by-poll from Peshawar PK-74.

Earlier, during election campaign, seasoned ANP politician Haroon Baloor along with 19 others embraced martyrdom as suicide bomber detonated his vest in Yaka Toot area of Peshawar.

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party’s Ibrar Khalil was gunned down by unidentified motorcyclists in Subhanabad area of Peshawar.

Khalil’s nephew Rashid was also killed in the attack. Police confirmed both had succumbed to their injuries. Officials said the motive remained unclear as Khalil, the ANP candidate in PK-74 during the recently-concluded general elections, was party to a longstanding family feud.
