24 hours unattended! Another kind of advanced equipment to defend the southern island reef
2019 03/29 10:36 Global Network Military

At the 2019 Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, China Electronic Technology Group (CETC) launched an unattended all-weather information network node system.

1000

Floating Integrated Information Platform (IIFP)

The "lightweight" IIFP can be deployed to all sea conditions. It uses solar energy to self-sustain and has good adaptability. It can be deployed to the appropriate sea area by tugboat and other mobiles. It can be operated remotely without the need for personnel to be on duty. The IIFP can perform various functional tasks as needed, for example, as a 4G or short-wave communication base station, a marine environmental monitoring platform, a tsunami warning facility, an auxiliary navigation service system, or continuous monitoring of maritime targets.

1000

Island Reef Based Information System (IRBIS)

(IRBIS) is a more complex, all-weather, fixed-deployment unattended system consisting of a shallow water platform and an electronic mission system that can be equipped with a variety of sensors and, of course, more powerful.

No matter which variant, military or civilian, this platform system can play an important role in the construction of Nansha, Xisha Island reef, defending the island reef, and continuously monitoring the target waters. In addition to applied to homeland security and marine scientific research, it is also an important platform for providing public service products such as disaster reduction and rescue, marine positioning and navigation.

In addition, China Electronics also showed a fish-like underwater unmanned system "FishBot-A100". Its bionic propulsion system can swim like a fish by swinging its tail and fins. In fact it has three propulsion systems: propellers, gliding and bionic fins. The propeller system includes a horizontal thruster and two vertical thrusters.

The FishBot-A100 is a new generation of high-performance unmanned aerial vehicles (UUVs) capable of performing a variety of civil and military tasks, such as environmental surveys, search and rescue or reconnaissance missions, collecting underwater data, and recording high-definition video. The captured data can be sent to a control center or other underwater platform via a 4G network, wireless Wi-Fi or voice signal. According to the mission requirements, you can carry a payload of 5 kg.

The FishBot-A100 weighs about 20 kilograms and is about 2 meters long. It can be operated at 100 meters underwater. The built-in battery can support up to 20 days of snorkeling. The performance and future application prospects are quite good.

U.S. sends bombers over disputed South China Sea for second time in 10 days
BY JESSE JOHNSON..STAFF WRITER ARTICLE HISTORY SHARE

The U.S. has sent B-52 bombers near disputed islands in the South China Sea, the U.S. Pacific Air Forces said Thursday, the second such mission over the contested waterway in 10 days.

The Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) said in a statement that the two B-52s had taken off from Andersen Air Force Base on the U.S. island territory of Guam, and participated in “routine training missions.”

“U.S. aircraft regularly operate in the South China Sea in support of allies, partners, and a free and open Indo-Pacific,” the statement said.

The B-52 aircraft involved in the mission were part of the U.S. Air Force’s “continuous bomber presence” based in Guam. Since 2004, the U.S. has rotated B-1, B-52 and B-2 long-range bombers out of Guam to conduct training missions in Asia.

Akin to the U.S. Navy’s so-called freedom of navigation operations, in which it has sailed warships near disputed islands claimed by China in the South China Sea, the air force missions are intended to assert that the area is international airspace as well.

Beijing has built up a series of military outposts in the South China Sea, which includes vital sea lanes through which about $3 trillion in global trade passes each year.

Washington and Beijing have frequently jousted over the militarization of the South China Sea, where China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines all have competing claims.

The U.S. does not maintain any claims there, but says the operations are conducted globally with the aim of promoting freedom of navigation.

U.S. Indo-Pacific Command chief Adm. Philip Davidson said last week that the United States has observed a rise in Chinese military activity in the South China Sea area over the last year.

Davidson declined to quantify the increased activity — nor would he say whether the number of freedom of navigation patrols would increase or remain stable.

“It’s building, it’s not reducing in any sense of the word,” Davidson was quoted as saying in Singapore on March 7 when asked about China’s military activities in the waterway. “There has been more activity with ships, fighters and bombers over the last year than in previous years, absolutely.”

I wonder if it's the same B-52 that paid Vietnam a visit not too long ago

It's too bad Vietnamese are too brain-damaged from Agent Orange to appreciate the irony of one of them cheering B-52s.

bro pls understand Vietnam suffers under aggression of both US and China, so people in Vietnam don’t differentiate if aggression is white or yellow.

It’s ok in our minds when both fight until the bitter end to decide who becomes the Master of SC sea. Following our tradition we will pay tribute to the winner whoever it may be. Good luck to you!

Dont waste time wt some idiot here.

Back to the topic, Remember that CN sent big warships to protect oil rig in 2014 VN-CN conflict, but failed, so that stupid fishbot is just a joke. But CN govt must keep making Cnese believe they r very stronk in SCS( east VN sea) or else CN rebels in TW, HK will get more support to oust CN govt.

False flgar Chinese are too brain-damaged from was a covert biological and chemical warfare research and developmentunit of the Imperial Japanese Army that undertook lethal human experimentation during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) Unit 741 òf Japan.

You're stupid to post that.
Do you see us sucking up to the Japanese? But the same can't be said for you all.

You're too stupid to understand the insult I gave you - that's completely predictable, given the cognitive damage caused by Agent Orange poisoning. I'm not insulting you for being bombed and gassed by America in the past, I'm insulting you for kissing its a*s today.

I know thinking is very hard for Agent Orange mutants, but try.

Looking by nationality, Chinese accounted for the largest number of foreign-born wives at 37.2%, or 5,526 marriages, followed by Filipinas at 22.7%, or 3,371 unions. Korean nationals were third at 13.6% (2,031), Thai fourth at 6.5% (970), and Americans rounded out the top five at 1.7% (246).
