The Dhruv is a good machine. The mishaps it had faced are bcz of either IA overusing it , or modified something beyond its limit, or due to poor maintenance.

I have to admit the Indian pilots are damn good at emergency situations! Be it a mechanical fault or a direct hit from Pak they manage to survive!!! Only the Israili and Chinese systems show them no mercy…..

In 2016 it was reported that 16 examples have crashed in a period of 14 years....not sure how the last 5 years went for it's operations.

Since 2002, 14 military and 2 civil Indian Dhruv helicopters have been involved in accidents, out of which 11 occurred in India and 5 abroad.

Dhruv is an interesting machine. I always wondered, where is its swashplate?

Having rigidly attached rotor must be making an impact on handling
