NEPRA refutes this Quad e Azam Solar Park project in Bahawalpur, calls it most expansive and and useless project.
Is it another intentional white elephant of PML-N govt to create PR and do massive corruption or they just did another blunder?
This report is complete crock of s--t and farce, paid for by the oil fired power plant owners. Up front cost to set up a plant are high, after the start of production biggest cost are manpower and raw material, in Pakistans case, we are blessed with solar and almost non exsistence of oil. Report suggest, we set up more oil fired plants.
In this case the deal makes sence, commercial loans = interest first then principle. So if the rates are high that means loan, principle plus interest and profits, must be recoup rated, with in a set period.
Until pakistani politicians can sign a deal with international company to build a power plant for free, this is the only way, Like it or not. No one will invest in Pakistan, if they don't stand to make money on their investment.
Ontario, Canada is paying up to 80 cents per kilowatt produced by solar power. That's lot higher then 14 rupees agreed by GOP.
