I must confess that we have problem inside too. Sadly our current government do not have any eye on our neighbors and all of it's attention is on Europe and America. They totally forget our region which is our main source of our wealth.
**** Europe, and its payment System. lets put all of our energy on our neighbors especially Pakistan.

Well demand is so high , we will consume most of the gas ourselves forget about India

a) We have transport running on gas
b) We have homes using gas burners
c) We have factories using gas
d) We have gas powered buses

Do not forget gas is main source of producing electricity in future.

Reminds me of RCD (Regional Cooperation for Development) of 70's, where Pakistan, Iran a d Turkey were members.

For most economist and planners , 100% Open relations / borders / trade between 3 nations is critical for Prosperity and reduction in prices of good across the region

Pakistan has 200 million users, on door steps from Iran

Similar life style , food , and drink

The biggest untapped potential is

a) Gas Export to Pakistan
b) Electricity Export to Pakistan


High demand for Persian Rugs , Pistachios , Agricultural knowledge , school network​

Let's wake up and smell the coffee, climate is the last thing on the table.

well i have hard time believing that they wouldn't consider collaboration on this. All of these countries individually are aware of the impact of the climate change and how much trouble it is causing them. The droughts, the more extreme floods, ... are all problems that all the countries in the region are suffering. Our region is vulnerable because you have people losing jobs and sometimes their lives due to climate change reasons (e.g. farming/food industry as a whole).

@SubWater, while gas is cleaner than coal, Middle East receives sun nearly all year and has a lot of surface area. Just imaging how much energy the region can extract just from solar. Add wind energy to that and you will realize how much energy wealth the region is blessed with. There is a need for will.

The good thing about the trio is that they are industrialized and have decent amount of expertise/resources. These ideas can be realized and aren't far fetched. In fact, they are necessary.

But what if the clouds cover the sky, also Batteries and solar panels are so expensive. Solar and wind energy are not trustworthy at current time.
But if we find different ways to save energy like pumping water to height and use potential energy to produce electricity instead using expensive batteries. Yes I am agree with solar and wind energies.

These are challenges but already there are solutions. The important thing here is diversity.

The three countries can:

1. develop and manufacture clean energy solutions
2. produce clean energy
3. produce drinkable water from the near by seas.
4. engage in geo-engineering projects to fight off the effects of climate change. Pakistan has engaged in forest restoration and it is working. This should be a benchmark.
5. restore, maintain and expand farming lands and produce food
6. expand free trade zones, ease access to education across the countries
7. expand railway and transportation

The above constructive steps will not only bring about security, stability and prosperity to the countries involved but also to the neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
