Contracts for test gunswere placed with Global Ordnance, Angstadt Arms, B&T USA, Shield Arms, Sig Sauer and Trident Rifles.

Angstadt’s SCW-9 has fully ambidextrous controls including the magazine release, safety selector, the charging handle and the bolt catch and release. It feeds from Glock magazines and has a 4 inch barrelwith a 3-lug adapter for mounting a suppressor. Angstadt also note the SCW-9 can fire UTM marking and training rounds. The weapon has an overall length with the stock collapsed of 14.7 inches and it weighs in at just 4 lbs. It has a cyclic rate of fire of approximately 1,100 rounds per minute. The SCW-9 has a short M-LOK forend, hand stop and back up iron sights.

rifles. With a rate of fire of 1,110 roundsper minute, the SCW-9 is capable of accurately engaging threats with a high volume of lethal force.

Angstadt claims the SCW-9 has the shortest sub compact stock system available. They note that the system has been tested in both 5.56x45mm and .300 Blackout and takes the stock from 7 inches extended to just 2.5 inches collapsed. Angstadt Arms plans to offer the shortened stock system to other manufacturers who wish to incorporate it into their firearms. They also confirm that a pistol brace version of the shortened stock system is being developed for the commercial market.
