It is also petty and childish for India to remove the protective barricades from the US embassy and take away the special privileges from the US embassy stuff. Doing that makes India an immature brat. The US now must have doubts about dealing with India because of India's behaviour. You (India) is making a fool of itself and has lost the respects from other countries.

Unfortunately I agree with this assessment. If India is willing to go this far over what is essentially a minor law enforcement issue, you have to question what would happen after a misunderstanding or mistake by our militaries, which hold as many wargames together as anyone else.

That president was impeached but he was found to be not guilty. Maybe the same thing can happen to your diplomat if she find herself a good lawyer. But she still has to win the trial. if she is found not guilty, than I can assure you that her passport will be returned to her.

US will have let her go ...because it can't let carefully cultivated relationship with one country to be sabotaged by one such incidence ....

China is on another level of diplomatic front compare to India, India want make a case to the world that US need to respect India position in this world, India used this incident to play up her status in the world by demanding an apology and ignore the US law to accommodate India request. India want to make this case to the public to force US to back down as India perceive US out to humiliated them. Indian emotional overcharge to this case with their overreaction and their protest only to corner the US not to back down and don't give in to their demand.
