It is not mentioned in the report and that is why the man was protesting in the media about this unfair dismissal. If he has done it, then he should be dismissed but not without a fair trial. That is called excessive politicisation.

I have gone to government offices for a variety of documents including my Passport.

I have never once been asked what my faith is.

This is nonsense. This government needs to go, and stay gone.

This slow poison has eaten too deep into our people.

Procedural questions mixed with few wrong ones, but one cant ascertain what was actually asked since both sides are giving different statements and we on this side are giving our opinions based on our affinity/biases/prejudices.

I am a supporter of BJP and hope you know that( I know you are Parsi). However if that Mishra guy is indeed guilty then strong punishment need to be given and a message needs to be sent. If you know what I mean, a transfer of the type he got is actually not a punishment.

What procedure entails the faith/religion of an Indian in anything except the Census and Marriage Certificate?

Is there ANY Government (Central, State, Zilla, Taluka) document where our Faith/Religion is asked for and captured?

Does the Passport contain your faith/religion?

A few years ago we Indians here were lambasting the Pakistanis when their new Passport norms required them to undertake whether they were Muslim or not.

Are we moving in that direction?????????

Calm down Doc. I am not saying this. What I have heard from media was that her nikahnama had a different name than the one she applied with. And if thats the case then there is some foul play somewhere. And yes, while filling out forms for any document for state and center, you do mention your religion, whether it appears on that document is another thing but you do fill your faith.

What I am saying here is we might not know the actual truth here. And there are have been incidents where people have played the minority card from both religions and have gotten away. So we need to investigate this.

Having said that I favor and hold our system with high esteem in national matters and the sanctity lies when they are fair to all, which they have been so far. Anybody misusing power must be punished but after knowing the truth.

Some people from this side, crying and some from other, is suppressing the truth and nothing else.

Almost every document I have filled for some purpose and the ones I am filling for kids do ask my religion.
Having said that, I have said enough. If he is guilty then punish him.

she did lie about her name change . She had changed her name for Nikkah but mentioned 'no' in the application form . Also lied about her current address .
