According to DNA test, all the attackers were Anglo-Indian and had a close relation with each other.

Police sources told the Dunya News, two separate samples of all the four accused had been sent for DNA test to identify their nationality. The sources said that according to the report, the accused were either brothers or cousins.


At least 10 navy and two rangers personnel were killed while 14 security officials were wounded in the terrorist attack on PNS Mehran on May 22.

The insurgents also destroyed two US-supplied surveillance aircraf

See Anglo Indians manage to become commando in Army and some of them were working for Navy. They should do this DNA test before recruiting them, that way they can avoid such embarrassment.

Does that so called 'police source' and the Dunya News correspondent even know what DNA is all about? Yes, a Martian's DNA would perhaps be different from an Earthling's! C'mon man, get real!

Pakistan to seek international help as DNA tests come back negative

DNA tests on four terrorists who were killed during the May 22 attack on PNS Mehran have come back negative.

Results of DNA samples collected from the four terrorists who were killed during the raid on the naval base in Karachi, was matched up against a national database. However, authorities were unsuccessful in establishing the identity of the terrorists.

The DNA samples will now be sent to the International Data Bank for identification.

NADRA said that the tests would make it clear that attackers were not locals since their record could not be found. The government had subsequently based its claim that the attackers were foreigners on this report.

Analysts, however, say that the failure to establish the terrorists’ identity could be a result of NADRA’s imperfect database of Pakistani citizens.

At least ten people were killed and two Naval P3-C Orion surveillance aircraft were destroyed in the terrorist attack on the base
