South African fast bowler attempts suicide.

Pretoria – Former Proteas cricketer André Nel apparently tried to commit suicide after three more women, one of them a prostitute, told of having slept with him.

Nel's pregnant wife, Deanne Weitz, confirmed on Friday night that doctors had been called to the couple's swanky home in Irene outside of Pretoria after Nel tried to take his own life. She was expecting their first child in April.

"He is not in any immediate danger and there are many doctors looking after him," she said.

Meanwhile two other women have come forward with similar allegations about Nel.

Gutless of someone to end their life with a baby on the way. Poor lady, horrible situation for her.

Hopefully he gets the help.

well so sad Andre nel was great bowler dont know why he is not playing he was bit more anthisoastic but great hope he get on line of life he should go to Hashim Amla and let know how should life be used not to waste it even if you are in worst of worst

Andre Nel was known for his attitude and rudeness.

But his suicide reason is strangely due to personal "interests".. anyway his career is gone long before..

Reminds me of Tiger woods and Shane warne incidents..

They would have committed 3-4 suicides by the number count of "this" offence.
