Anatolian Eagle' 19 - Thunder to roar in Turkey !

The three JF-17s along with a couple of C-130s were photographed at the New Islamabad Airport this week. Possibly departing for Turkey to participate in the Anatolian Eagle 2019 Multi-National air exercise.

4180 was written off, this must be an old photo plus exercises will start in June so its too early to depart.

What's the final cause of that incident?

Initial outlook was that a tyre burst due to hard landing.
Bad Landing, hit the wall and burst into flames. The aircraft was captured by a spotter while on finals and it showed no visible emergency/faults at that time.

these are old beasts, pakistan needs more c130s..lets hope it can squeez some out of EDA

The images were captured at the New Islamabad Airport, so may just be a deployment. ??

Are you sure its OPIS? The new airport doesnt has so much skid marks on the ramp and there's mountains in the backdrop of OPIS,in the posted pictures I dont see any mountains.Plus I am not even sure if OPIS can support fighters yet.Maybe its Chaklala.

And a fighter squadron departing from OPIS for the exercise makes no sense to me.Not forgetting the squadron participating is from Quetta,so there pit stop would be Kamra.

Pakistani C130s are being upgraded to modern standards by some foreign compnay, there's a thread on PDF about that I think.

Agreed.

However we require atleast 26 C-130's to have a sound transport fleet. Right now we have 16.

No fighter has ever landed at OPIS. Yet.

Well we have CASA as well along with MIDAS and other small crafts.

CASA doesnt offer the capability what C-130 offers. Not even close.

Midas is a nightmare. Operationally.

via iran turkey or oman- saudia - jordon- syria
will the jf-17 thunders fly from pakistan to turkey or they will be shifted in some military cargo planes?

They will fly to destination with scheduled stops.

I am not comparing their capabilities,I am just saying they are also used for transport and log purposes to fill the gap.

3 aircraft usually for demo for exercise I would assume a flight of 6 or so ??
