Please read my post more carefully. Iran got the 55K6E (fifty five), NOT the 54K6E (fifty four). The presence of the 55K6E means this MUST be the PMU2.

Regardless of which version Iran got, ultimately it will be the Iranian indigenous systems such as Bavar-373, Talash, Alam al hoda which will give Iran its main protection because for one we can produce then ourselves as many as we want, and secondly, their technology will be known only to us. We can't say the same thing about the S-300.

As for which version this s-300 is, it is obvious. This is not even a pmu2. The systems Iran got were tailored and modernised for its requirement as stated by Iranian defence minister, but if it is certainly at least on the level of pmu2.

Russia preparing second shipment of S-300 missile systems to Iran - FSMTC
MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia has completed delivery of the first batch of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran and a second shipment is being prepared, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Alexander Fomin said.

"We have supplied the first batch. This is a full-value complex, and not the only one. We are preparing for a second shipment. Our partners are due to make a payment," he told the newspaper Izvestia in an interview.

"We are prepared to dispatch the hardware. Hopefully, our partners will soon accept this hardware and we will transfer it. The shipment will be made as soon as financial liabilities are met," Fomin said.
