Qamar Abbas of Pakistan and Sushil kumar of India have reached the finals in Men's freestyle 74 KG category.

Final would be played at 21:48 IST (that's what the CWG website says).

Good... Match will be interesting..

Gaye pakistani "martial race" wale bhaiya kaam se :bunny:

India's 3rd gold in wrestling in less than hour

And what was a great thread ladies and gentlemen has been ruined by trolling. How sad.

Congratulations to Sushil kumar, a great wrestler, who had won Olympic silver (2012) and World gold(2010), and was the favourite by a mile. The match ended 6-2 with Abbas being awarded 2 points, but then pinning his own back on the mat for dong so. The funny thing was the Kumar didn't know the match was over.

I hope he goes on to win Rio Gold, he deserves it.

Age is catching upto him, but still he the best hope for Gold in next Olympic. Abbas was good too, more international exposure will help him immensely. I guess he got overwhelmed by the past record of Sushil Kumar.

Waz, the final score is 8-0.
6-2 was a mistake, now rectified.

Thanks friend. I hope age does not catch him up. He deserves gold and is an excellent wrestler.

Abbas was great and you are right he did seem nervous, but found his form a little before that terrible mistake. In an ideal world Pakistan would get more exposure and I was shocked to learn this was their only international experience in several years....That's not bad considering.

It would be great to train with each other as well.

Acha so the two points were taken away because of the pin, I get it.

This is not fair, competition should be on equal footing. India have unfair advantage of simply being better at the moment because no one cares in pure land.

I have no idea, I did not follow the match, I was just told that the final score was 8-0 instead of 6-2. Not really interested in Wrestling. Though on your earlier point, do not the two Punjabs have a kabbadi and akhada games each year?
