An eye opening video report - Adulterated food sold in Pakistan

Wow, that speaks of hypocrisy of our nation as a whole.

When we elect people to the assembly, our choice are the rich and influential feudal lords, industrialists and business men and criminals land grabbers, murderers, adulterers and adulteresses who have zero knowledge of the religion rather a bias against the religion and its teachings.

The bureaucracy is totally comprised of secular / moderate / liberal / libturds selected through the jaded system we inherited from our colonial past. But when it comes to rant against the system, we blame "Mullah"... because it is easy.. while all of us are busy doing corruption in our lives but let's blame "Mullah" for all of our wrong doings.
What a shameless thing to do???

I would say hand over the govt to Mullah for a considerable time and only then you will have the right to rant against them until then it is a shameless finger pointing.
Why don't you all libturds here gather and stage a sit in against the this national-malady? On no, you're are too busy in your comfortable homes....you earned by hook or crook and you're not ready to leave the comforts and sit under the open sky and brave weather and police.

Mate, if people are okay eating this food and they neither want to protest against it nor change their lifestyles... why single out "Mullah"? If people don't like it, they should protest against it or elect better people to the assembly. Until then keep enjoying adulterated food.

"Mullah" are also from the same nation, they do not descent from the sky but at least they are standing for the cause they think is worth it and as a Muslim it is for all of us.

How many of the food inspectors are madrassah graduated "Mullahs" or produce of our marvellous education system?

I think it's an unfair statement that "normal" people just blame the mullahs and not the corrupt politicians and the corrupt elites.

I agree that the jahil mullahs are derived from the same corrupt nation and therefore are corrupt themselves.

I for one blame everyone including the mullahs.

However, it's the hypocrisy that irks everyone.. These mullahs live off a portrayal of morality and religiosity yet are themselves the most corrupt... that is why we blame them. Corrupt politicians and elites tarnish politics and the system. Corrupt mullahs tarnish Islam. So which one of greater concerns? I say the corrupt mullah.

These mullahs rather bash women, bash minorities, promote terrorism... but do nothing for social justice and human rights.... Such as food adulteration...

It depends on which "mullahs" you follow and listen to. I listen to scholars and they are not corrupt and speak about social justice system. Who do you listen to? so it is totally upto you.

Well as I said, they do not descend from sky, they are part of this society and born to the same mothers and fathers.
In a family, it is a trend to send the best kids to the schools while the weak ones to the madrassah so "what you sow, so shall you reap"...garbage in garbage out.. simple

How justified is that a parents sent one of their smart kid to the school, paid heavy fee and all other expenses, then the child crammed all the books and got good position in the best school (btw your best private schools are also garbage as compared to the average schools in the developed world..but that's a debate for another day) and finally as per wishes of family the young man opted for civil service appeared in CSS exam and succeeded and finally joined DMG and after time in CS academy joined the administration. While the other kid had a bit of handicap in learning and normal school didn't accept him or he didn't fare well there so parents eventually sent him to madrassah run on charity, so parents had little to spend on so they invested all in their smart kid's education. However this kid learned some Islamic knowledge and finally became an imam in the nearby masjid.
The mother went to shopping and bought nicely packaged milk cartons and some she finds out the milk is adulterated with dangerous chemicals....so instead of scolding her son in the DMG group and making "oupar ki kamai" day and night, she goes after her Imam-boy and scolds him for all the miseries in her life, the adulterated milk, her father's accident, her severed relations with her sister...all on that kid..."Tum molvi ho kar much nahin kartay...sharam ani chahiye tumhain...wo dekho tumahara bhai... din raat kamata hai, he provided me jewellery made of pure gold, bought the new car, he buys best cigars for your father...kuch tu seekho bhai se"

I agree. I also agree that selected criticism of mullahs while ignoring the sins of other groups is unfair...

However my question remains: Corrupt politicians and elites tarnish politics and the system. Corrupt mullahs tarnish Islam. So which one of greater concerns? I say the corrupt mullah.

Read this mate,

So I agree and you confirm that the knuckle heads end up going to madrassas while the brainy kid makes it to univ. So that is why we have a problem of the jahil mullah now because they are incapable of addressing real social issues like this thread's title because of their handicap and are only good for spreading hate and venom.

At least we agree. :)

Your stance is --> pity the fools
Mine is --> hold them accountable

Nope, I didn't call him a knuckle head. Tell me if your brother has a bit of handicap, will you call him knuckle head

Mine is that you are barking at the wrong tree.

Ya.. To be honest he would be a knuckle head... I.e not too smart. I am barking up all trees . However when mullah go crazy... they defame Islam which is worse than our sympathies about their mental handicap

Congratulations, you have derailed the discussion.

The unique thing about Pakistan is that every section of the society is in someway involved in corruption and/or nepotism. From the lowest Chaprasis, to the highest office holders.

Mullahs aren't the only ones to blame, it's all of us. We as a nation are failing in our duty of upholding basic human and moral aspects.

Everyone is corrupt to some degree, we all converge at the same apex. People talk the grand talk of corruption free Pakistan, but I wonder how many would inconvenience themselves to walk up to a trash can to dispose of their waste?

Majority of opinion makers and social advocates are hot air balloons!

And no amount of worldly or other worldly admonishment can change us. Only two things can, teaching our young from the beginning to be selfless and be dedicated to the good of society, while on the other hand, having strict and unbiased laws with full accountability and implementation of the said laws. But to even do that, we need to find honest, fearless and incorruptible souls. Where will we find such beings in our society?

Our college motto put it well. Know thyself, you don't have to go far to find such beings in society! Just start with yourself and your household. To quote our prophet: “Remember your own faults when you want to mention of others.” Prophet Muhammed PUBH
