^^ I don't read Haroon R. on frequent basis, so I certainly not a good judge of his writing style, or his character, or his political affiliations.

However in this article, what he says is right.

If I understood correctly, he asking all political parties to be honest and not throw $hit on military.

just because MQM started bhtta khori doesnt mean it should be blamed for the ills of others, remember 2002-2008, there was no case of bhatta khori, MQM started it others perfected it, jamaat was the first organisation who started the student militant wing

excellent post @usama waqas ....Haroon Rasheed is a very good writer...he described harsh realities very well in this article,specially I was shocked to read miya sahab's statement about Pak army and Najam sethi's character.
about MQM well he described same old bhatta story...but PML-N and najam sethi.....!specially about their third class statements about army?they are indeed characterless, low class people as they are connoisseur of lies like i always say.

Many Pakistani intellectuals and politicians don't realize that Pakistan will be another Afghanistan if not for the heroic efforts by Pak army to keep the country stable.

Commies and lefties in Pakistan are quick to blabber about Army "dictatorship", well yeah, in Pakistan we have had the dictatorship but the kind we can always say "benevolent".


It is time we move on from petty bickering and back biting.


It is time for the political parties to implement "genuine" democracy within the parties.

Why?

Political parties are "Mai-baap-ki" jagir, personal property of mum-and-dad.

Where top leader Imran, Nawaz, Bhutto, Altaf etc. are all elected "uncontested".


That is the biggest joke.

How is it possible that Imran, or Nawaz, or Bhutto, or xyz Wali Khan are gods?

That not a single person is available in their parties to replace them, challenge them.

Thus our political parties are dead end cesspool of ideas

They are corrupt internally, so how can they remove corruption from the country.

All this inbreeding has resulted in severely weakening the political institution in the country making it the worst of all the other institutions.


Then the same corrupt and inbred politicians go around blaming everyone else but themselves.
