The cost comparison is high

India Never integrated American Fighters Aircraft You need Full support chain .Training

We have that for Rafale's

But Even F/A-18 It Will Take us 3-4 years To integrate With system fully or longer
adding US Fighter system Will Impact Indian Doctrine like Apache's

Trials doesn't means it will be selected you assuming by yourself every aircraft have a trial before it will be selected if IN preselected f18 that's other matters
