I don't quite understand why people believe that if america goes bankrupt and its superpower status goes away , it will suddenly fall apart . I mean the country is just too well gelled and mixed within itself , no major ethnic or race issues anymore , no serious separatist movements . i just don' see it happening .

US may go bankrupt and will decline but i see it ending up more like post world war 2 Britain rather than the Soviet Union .

Why are you so aggressive? You said 'it's good to see you back' or something, so I said 'I was having dinner' to explain my absence.

The cuts and taxes are to help pay off our debts ,which it is predicted, we will do.
To be honest I think the social unrest was a one off, no one likes the rioters.

Jamie recently the govn of the bank of england stated that real wages have not gone up for 6 years, property has been in the doldrums for 4 years. You may be fine but there are people out there in the UK who are really suffering esp on the lower end of earnings and pensioners

The recession hit us hard yes, but we are on the road to recovery. The only way is up (hopefully)
I think it was Goldman Sachs who predicted that the UK would be the biggest economy in Europe by 2025.

Yes, the recession is in the past. I asked how we are currently suffering. I then said that we are on the way up. What is wrong with that?
It is systemic, we'd borrowed too much. That has been corrected.
Hmmm, Germany population is not growing, it might even be shrinking. Whereas the pop of the Uk is growing.
