America is one of the richest countries but money alone doesnt bring people happiness as you can see above. There are various social sicknesses in america.

He looked like a guy who could have relationships, just needed some tweeks to his personality. He shouldn't have been bullied though. There is a problem with what he considers pleasures.

People who've had opportunities to get girls and party don't always do that(unless they're pigs). I'm one of those people who who largely refrained from that scene but could have indulged in it. Most people can, just with confidence.

It's unfortunate he didn't meet people who could have helped him and this tragedy could have been avoided. Although he does make a point about most American girls, they like things they shouldn't like.

Which is why I treat them all like b!chiz , LOLZ.

It hasn't affected me at all, I'm more than happy since I never cared about such nonsense.

I watched the video and he clearly has some problems.

Although OP...out of all things there to criticize America you come up with this? Why not criticize our foreign policy or domination of regions?

Not our culture, we don't even have a culture. It's a popular lifestyle created by certain people.

Alleged gunman Elliot Rodger, 22, lived a life of privilege

May 25, 2014 - 10:25AM

Elliot Rodger's chilling video analysed after 6 dead
Authorities are yet to confirm the identity of the gunman responsible for the death of six in Santa Barbara, California, but the movements of 22-year-old Elliot Rodger are being investigated. He died at the scene.

He drove a gleaming black BMW car. He went to college in Santa Barbara and his family lived in Calabasas, the exclusive Los Angeles enclave which is home to Justin Bieber and the Kardashian family. His father, a film director, socialised with Hollywood's elite.

Whichever way you look at it, Elliot Rodger, the 22-year-old alleged gunman in a rampage that left six dead and seven injured and which was described by a sheriff as "the work of a madman", appeared to have lived a privileged life.

And yet he felt alone and unable to establish meaningful friendships, rejected by his peers, and in particular young women, a subject he spoke about in a series of video diary entries posted to social media.

Rodger's father is Peter Rodger, a director who worked on The Hunger Games. Peter Rodger also wrote and directed a documentary about religion titled Oh My God, which featured interviews with Hugh Jackman, Ringo Starr, Seal, Bob Geldof, Baz Luhrmann, Jack Thompson and David Copperfield.

Elliot's stepmother is Moroccan-born French actress Soumaya Akaaboune, one of the stars of Les Vraies Housewives, the French adaptation of the "Real Housewives" reality TV format. She also had small roles in the Matt Damon thriller Green Zone, the Gerard Butler romantic comedy Playing For Keeps and the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace.

Akaaboune met Elliot's father about 15 years ago; the pair later had a son together, who is now six.

Elliot's final video entry, titled Retribution, has become a focal point of media attention on the case, but earlier video diary entries echo its sentiment.

"This world is such a beautiful place. It's such a tragedy I've had to live such a pathetic life in it. All because of the cruelty of humanity," Elliot Rodger said in one video diary entry.

In another, he longed to be a child again.

"Those were the happy years. Life is so much fairer when you're a kid," he said. "When you're a kid you don't have to worry about being attractive or how many girls like you. No one has unfair advantages. And when when you hit puberty your life either becomes heaven on earth or a living hell."

His life, he declared, was the latter.

So here we have another example of an individual coming from a background of white privilege who goes on a murder spree, shooting and killing innocent people near a college campus and Western media lable him as someone who just had "mental health issues" (which might be true). Now, if he was a Muslim, he would have immediately been called a terrorist, despite whatever motive he may have had, his entire background, ethnic and religious affiliation and patriotism would have been brought into question, and an entire community vilified.

The fact is, this kid is a spoiled rich brat, who comes from a background of white privilege and entitlement, who grew up in a society whose culture is out-right 'dull' and where teens have NOTHING to do besides just think about "sex" all the time..because that is what happens when your entire culture promotes the unlimited fulfillment of your desires, and the exploitation and oppression of women as nothing more than sex objects.

You won't see such things happening in dynamic, colorful, and 'happening' cultures like that of India/Pakistan. Anyone who has lived in both lands would attest to the fact that in America, things are just tooooooooo organized...life here is almost robotic...People work work work...need to have alcohol to have fun...and then there's sex... If you go outside in a street in Pakistan..you will meet like so many people..you'll see kids playing cricket..vendors selling their products..In short, you'll see "life" .....you'll see a dynamic human culture at work.

Here in U.S..you'll see nothing. If you want to get something...have a car...and go to big corporate stores. Neighbors even barely to talk to each other and everyone stays in their own robotic circle of life.

In such environment, such sick twisted mentality would emerge.

All he needed to do was come to Asia. A lot of american "tourists" do come infact. imo the fault lies with Bible here.
