The law enforcement of the country I reside in is growing more wacko by the day. I expect more people to show up with empty pressure cookers just to "troll" the authorities.
I'm a new member I can't post any links to articles but other people here can so post them here. These incidents happened last week.
First a Saudi student named Talal al Rouki according to the media, was just cooking his meal when his apartment surrounded by agents and he was questioned by the FBI for carrying the cooker over to a friend's house. A neighbor had called the cops on him. After they asked for all his information they warned him not to do something like that again.
Next a Saudi man Hussain Al Khawahir was arrested at an airport for carrying a pressure cooker into the country to bring to his nephew who was studying in America and allegedly "lying" about why he brought it. Most likely he was confused or panicked during questioning. He had no explosive materials on him.
Some American students really need these things because they can't cook for their life here. Between this and the two Kazakhs getting arrested after the Boston bombing I'm worried that foreign students could end up under closer surveillance and authorities might jump the gun on any incident to deport them. They could also start enforcing stricter visa policies.
