Which is a different thing when it comes to sovereignty?

China and Taiwan is in fact still in a ceasefire and the civil war has not ended. It will end with the reunification of Taiwan Province.

We can similar addressed Hawaii, Texas or California as de facto nations if we wish to.

But hawai etc are not really defacto nations. They are firmly american. But taiwan is. China's writ just does not run there. I think its far more practical to do so and negotiate an alliane with taiwan with hope for future unifaction than this stance.

I saw that plane and thought wait a minute, that's looks like a business trip plane. So US cancelled their last minute official visit and sent Ex officials as per our warning? I thought US very stronk... Lol

It's because the Americans are afraid of death. Their soldiers are spoiled, and expect their $700B military to give them an easy ride.

If they get any sense of serious danger from a serious country, they will back down 100% of the time. It'll risk shattering their morale and image. Anyone genuinely think an American solder will ever fight in a situation where they don't have 100% air superiority?
