You are correct---. There was no need for the air marshall to make any statements about Modi's competency---.

By doing that he is asking the enemy to update and gain knowledge and correct their mistake---and that is not good---.

We have been hearing the same tune for decades now -- we "should" exploit XYZ socio-/religious faultlines in India. What do we have to show for it? After the insurgencies of the 80s and 90s died down --- nothing.

I respect AM Lateef a great deal but I hope PAF pilots and AMs do not display this level of arrogance that he has shown in this video. We should never underestimate our enemy no matter how incompetent they are.

I have always found AM (R) Shahid Latif to be somewhat softer version of Major General (R) G D Bakshi, as far as the defense analysis is concerned; though the later is far more entertaining and amusing, a real Bollywood stuff.

If what AM says is so accurate, why did we have our asses whooped back in the few wars we fought. I get it there were several elements at play but to disregard the enemy the way he does is, sheer arrogance and pride. And Pride is the sole domain of Allah. We men dare not venture into that territory.

Unlike our armed forces where the Military decides what weapons and objectives need to be set, the diplomants and politicians with a vision do this in the enemy's camp. Their policies are therefore, more outreaching and wholesome.

It is futile to assume the enemy hasnt gone back to the drawing board to rethink its strategy after 27th Feb. They are prepared. They now have an idea about our powers. To the contrary, we havent yet seen what the enemy's full capability is. And oh, this element of surprise in warfare... It was with us in Feb. I dont think it will be with us anymore.

So far as Modi competency is concerned, i don’t agree. He has developed his habits and thoughts from being a chaiwala (not degrading the dignity here) and his RSS training. He has years and years of well established himself which can’t be changed and will never. We have him infront of us since years.

The other thing you said i agree. In the end on 26-27 feb political will win over their tactical will which cause a loss to them and that political will came from Modi.
