KARACHI: In an unprecedented move, Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain makes peace with Mohajir Quami Movement – Haqiqi group leader Amir Khan on Wednesday
Khan was released on bail from the central jail on 23 May after the Sindh High Court revoked his life term.
A lower court awarded life term to Khan and another MQM-H leader Afaq Ahmed in the murder case of Farooq Ahmad who was brother of MQM provincial minister Haroon Siddiqui. The case was registered by Landhi Police against Ahmad and Khan in 1998.
Additional District and Session Judge East Ubaid Ahmad Khan sentenced both of the accused to life imprisonment with fine.
In the last hearing, Sindh High Court rejected government’s request to shift the hearing to the Shariat Court. The court suspended the sentence of both the accused and directed government to release them.
Ahmed was accused in the target killing of MQM’s Farooq Baig on May 2, thus delaying his release, despite being awarded bail and deposition of Rs.300,000 as surety.

KARACHI: Talks escalated between the MQM-Haqiqi and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday to induct Aamir Khan into MQM following his release from prison, DawnNews reported.

Aamir Khan visited the MQM headquarter (Nine Zero) on Wednesday and met with members of the Rabita Committee.

Different issues were discussed in the meeting including his return to the MQM.

According to sources, the MQM’s Rabita Committee has issued a green signal for the return of Aamir Khan.

However, the MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that he would consult the family members of the slain workers and a formal announcement regarding Aamir Khan’s return will be made on Friday, during the MQM General Worker’s Meeting.

KARACHI:
Putting to rest one of Karachi’s bloodiest rivalries, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has accepted a formal written apology by Amir Khan, the chief of his own faction of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi. According to an MQM press release, he was pardoned by Altaf Hussain and the families of those MQM members who were killed in clashes with the MQM-H.
Thus, the MQM founder ratified Amir Khan’s reinstatement as a worker of the party. The announcement was made by Altaf Hussain when he addressed party members, workers and the bereaved families at Lal Qila Ground on Wednesday. Amir had arrived at the MQM headquarters, Nine-Zero, at around 2 pm on Wednesday – two days after he was released from jail when his life term was revoked by the Sindh High Court. Sources also claim that the ‘understanding with the MQM’ made Khan’s release possible.
“I regret my mistakes as the nation (the Urdu-speaking community) has suffered since 1992”, Amir reportedly admitted. “I will stay loyal to the MQM till my last breath”, he added, according to sources. Officials, requesting anonymity, said that Altaf Hussain had said that Amir’s apology will only be accepted after the affected families of MQM workers forgave him.
However, they were reluctant to say whether Amir could be trusted. Officials also doubt he would play an important role in bringing back workers who had left the MQM years ago. Amir might even settle abroad, some suggested. According to sources, Amir looked confident and comfortable. The media was not allowed to broadcast his visit live.
A long history
The MQM-H was formed in the year 1992 – the year when law-enforcement agencies kicked off ‘Operation Clean-up’ against the MQM in Karachi. The MQM claimed that it had lost around 15, 000 workers during that operation, which they termed extrajudicial killing.
Amir was considered a diehard MQM activist. But after he joined the MQM-H, he had reigned the notorious Liaquatabad Peeli Kothi (yellow house), which was literally a house painted yellow and it was the MQM-H sub-headquarters. Later on, he went to the Gulf but he was arrested on his return in April 2004 and had been in jail since. Amir was not alone when he parted ways with Altaf Hussain. Afaq Ahmed, Amir’s arch-rival and boss was the actual leader of the MQM-H. In 2006-2007, differences had developed between them after which rumours spread that Amir laid down his weapons before the MQM.

It is seems to be a political alignment, but it is more than that,,
Aamir khan was a agency guy and the way he joined MQM and the timings of it seems quite amazing.
He is ready to explode some realities about our agency which was unfortunate..
It is also a negotiation of our agency with Mqm,,HOW???
Amir will accept that he made a mistake in the pAST not Altaf and his party haqiqi was the main culprit of killings of innocence and now he left the terror party and joined the good one.
Anyway an interesting move by our agency..

to be frank ,
i was thing that, he will stand against Altaf, and try to combine his "Haqikey"

So many innocent people died in the MQM vs Haqiqi rivalry started by our agencies
it is good to see that it is hopefully going to end

More azab and mass murder for innocent resident of karachi now that two indian thugs have joined hands to loot and plunder together!

jo altaf kaa ghadar hai woh maut kaa haqdaar hai!!! HAQIQI is weak now they have no choice but to lay down and plead for mercy! after all everyone saw what altaf bhai did to his co-founder (IMRAN FAROOQ)!!!

no one wants to end up like imran farooq! best choice is lay down your weapons and ask BHAI to forgive you!

I think this reunion makes sense as now they are eying on Lahore so they need to make peace in karachi so they can focus more on punjab.

MQM and MQM-H should have been banned and Altaf Hussian should be extradited from UK to stand in trail in Pakistan for killing of thousand of innocent people in Karachi.

Nadeemul Islam says joining the Afaq faction was a huge mistake.
KARACHI: The general secretary of Mohajir Qaumi Movement- Haqiqi (MQM- H) Afaq group announced on Monday that he has decided to leave his party along with other members to rejoin the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
Speaking at the Karachi Press Club, Nadeemul Islam said that joining MQM-H led by Afaq Ahmed was a ‘huge mistake’ as it conflicted with the MQM’s mission.
He urged Altaf Hussain to forgive him and take him back in his party.
Islam also blamed Afaq of conspiring against the MQM and said that he wants to see the faction disbanded.
Islam did not specify how many members of his former party have defected from MQM-H along with him.
