Israeli company Alpha 7 recently completed the first phase of a contract to supply combat foldable ladder sets to India’s National Security Guard (NSG), a Special Forces unit under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The procurement contract was awarded, executed and coordinated by a local Indian firm specializing in homeland security products.

In recent years, India’s military, security, and rescue services are being modernized with new equipment and this contract is part of this cross-government process.

The Combat/Rescue Foldable Ladders are produced by Alpha 7 in Israel under license from Alphahome Systems UK. This type of ladder was specifically developed for counterterrorism and crime-fighting missions. The ladder specifications supersede European work ladders’ load standards as it can carry three people simultaneously.

The first phase of the contract included the supply of 75 foldable ladder sets made from aviation-grade aluminum. Each ladder set is attached to a military-grade backpack harness system which enables the ladder to be carried on a combatant’s or rescuer’s back comfortably. The ladder could be used either by leaning it against an obstacle or by hanging it vertically using its hook accessory and wall spacers.

The ladder could be transported in a small vehicle because of its unique folding mechanism. It could even be mounted on the back of a motorcycle rider for rapid deployment in congested urban areas. The second phase, scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2019, will include 50 additional ladder sets. This is Alpha 7‘s fourth Indian ladders export deal in the past three years. The total estimated value of this current contract is $250,000.

Its funny that some posters here trolling. Like do they really believe it viable to carry out a R&D and establish mfg plant just for a contract of $250,000.

Look at the modivans defending their incompetence. Hahaha

India might be the only country to find these alpha 7 combat ladders useful! It could only comfort six black soldiers as you can see. Great Jewish imagination, indeed! They are fordable and affordable.

You don't have aviation grade aluminium or ladder makers in India? Glad your helping the poor isrealis out, their GDP is less then yours.

You don't have aviation grade aluminium
We have good metallurgy R&D, see we make steel for ourselves for our ships and composite for our aircafts.
ladder makers in India?
Sure, lets hand the metal tech to a regular avg joe ladder maker and see if he can do it in his current factory.

But what then? military requires only a finite small number of them, so all his investment goes to waste?

My pride or shame, definitely your very own sorrow is.... English!

Should we be sorrow about using English while the whole world is trying to study Chinese? The disgusting thing about India is that English is the only language to link Indians together. Yet you take this as a pride! Do Indians have anything to feel shameful at all?
