Then please explain -
When I said Islam & Pluralism; I meant Islamic Paradigms (legal, social, economic etc.) & the Pluralism to go with it to both respect & entertain opinions from within & without those paradigms & then let the electoral process be the judge of which of them is going to be institutionalized. I think that the very concept of Mutual Consultation to arrive at conclusions, as stipulated in the Koran (unless I'm mistaken), goes to the very heart of Islam; therefore I don't find much of an issue in a one vs the other situation.
