All the oil in China

China's oil consumption is 10.3 million barrels per day. China's oil production is 4.46 million barrels per day. How do you make up the 7 million barrels per day in a war-time emergency (e.g. no Saudi oil)?

1. Drill more oil wells in China.
2. Look for more oil deposits offshore along the eastern coast of China.
3. Look for oil in the South China Sea.
4. Switch to coal use wherever possible.
5. Increase fracking and production of natural gas.
6. Build more coal-to-liquid (CTL) plants. CTL plants convert coal into synthetic fuel.
7. Increase energy efficiency standards for cars, trucks, and other major energy consumers.
8. Mandate by law that mass transportation must be used whenever possible.
9. Without a good reason, everyone must drive a subcompact.
10. Buy more oil from Russia.
11. Buy more oil from Iran.
12. Buy more oil from Kazakhstan.
13. Move to a war-footing and build a Navy to clear the trade lanes to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq.
14. Build more wind farms, solar, hydro, and nuclear plants to provide energy for electric batteries. Have more people drive electric cars.

If they fight, they will have the second Falklands war on their hands. :bounce: Military hardware win wars these days. We got 055 destroyers. What they got? Fishing boats?

this is the 21st century. the time of annexing large swathes of land is in the past.

Vietnam,Philippines, and Taiwan won't sit back and let it happen either.
An annexer cannot speak with moral authority

No. It is not in the past. If the U.S. returns California, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. back to Mexico then the United States can speak with moral authority. A continued annexation/occupation means that China will seriously consider following the American strategy.

If the United States keeps provoking China in Asia, don't be surprised if China resorts to an annexation strategy.

The Israelis are annexing the West Bank one hilltop at a time. Being a larger country, China will annex on a larger scale to create buffer zones between the Chinese homeland and U.S. threats.

really

U.S acquired land in a time when it was all fine and dandy, but I don't agree with the Zionists taking land.

China aggression will be met head on :butcher:

China should be alright. China should be thanking the U.S for the tight/shale oil revolution.

1.U.S is importing less oil from OPEC. that oil instead going to China and India
2.OPEC and the Sauds are lowering the price of oil to compete and keep market share because of all that tight oil. saving China billions and the world economy

Why thank the US for pursuing its own interests?

I know Taiwan will. We're not suicidal. And the Viets and Flips definitely "sat back" when China took back her islands on three or four separate occasions.

it helps both. just saying without the U.S pumping all that tight oil prices would be higher and China would be a even more pinch for OPEC oil.

they would still manage eitherway

Should the US should thank China for buying its treasuries, not attacking revanchist neighbors, rebuilding Afghanistan, etc?

:disagree::disagree:

that's a choice. this is a side effect.

i don't actually mean hey you should thank the U.S literally :rofl:

but imagine if the U.S wasn't pumping 12 million barrels a day instead was still pumping 8 million or less.

there would be no supply gut right now and OPEC and SAUDS would have a complete monopoly and more power to dictate price.

i'm sorry if I triggered you with my comment

Yes, great thanks to US for lowering the oil price..
I save around 20 UDS each time to fill my car..

Mostly gas, few oil...

Over 99% of China's oil is in the South China Sea, which China considers Chinese territory.
