So, there are colleges with better than 1% passing rate? The headline does not make it clear. "Each of 38" seems to suggest there are 38 colleges in Karachi. To make the news meaningful, they should have stated how many colleges are there. If there 100 colleges, it is bad to have 38 dunces. With 1,000 it is no great tragedy.

I don't know how many public(provincial+federal) and private colleges are there.

This is good news because it should be used by the students as the event that provoked them to reject the nonsense industrialized education system that mostly produces spokes in the wheel of a Capitalist dog-eat-dog system. If this year 99 percent students did something called fail in exams, what have those one percent full-marks-pass in the previous 75 years of Pakistan's existence achieved ? Did Pakistan send even one person into space let alone have a LEO space station ? Is Pakistan a Communist welfare-based society from where money, cultural irrationality and oppression, and exploitation have been abolished ?

Imran Khan established the wonderful Shaukat Khanum cancer hospitals to treat patients for free, and that is how it should be, but tragically he hasn't been able to divert massive government funds towards maintaining these hospitals and instead has to depend upon public donations. And that beloved one percent which passes these unnecessary schooling exams with their artificial competitions won't be the ones to donate to Shaukat Khanum.

This was my rejection of the idiotic and unscientific industrial indian "education" system. And then in a year or must have been two I became a teacher in the same computer institute where I had been a student and this institute's curriculum is from an institute that is considered creme de la creme among Indian parents and their children. And now among the things I do is be a among the seniors in the computing field in the world. So there is no need for these marks-sharks in exams and degrees.

My dear businessman Valar, it was 20 years ago that I wrote the first computer operating system software in all of South Asia. It was a simple OS which was to be fully developed in a company I co-founded a few years later. There are a few miilion computer engineers in South Asia. Why haven't they been able to write a single OS in these 20 years, let alone have a million OSes ? Stop being paindu and patronizing about things you cannot comprehend.

Absolutely ! They will have some talent or ideas and the parents should invest time and money in who after all is their own child and allow them to start a business at the least which will be of the parents' own benefit. There's no point pushing the child into some idiotic course just because a million others are in the same course. The parents themselves couldn't create a good society for their child and they now expect the child to continue the ancestral idiocy ?
