Well, they both are for their own terrains and standards. Al-Khalid has the Ukraine engine, which is much cooler, and sustainable to heat.

T-99 has much more power in the engine but it gets equal when comparing to its weight.

I think it'll be hard to compare these two tanks together when both of these MBTs are quite similar and were developed by the same people. AL Khalid had great influence from the Chinese MBT-2000 which evidently further developed and improved into T-98. And the T99 is no more than a T98 but with add-on armor, improved engine and some kinda high tech laser beam cannon onboard or something eh hehe.

I'll take a T99 over the AK, only because its similar to the AK, but improved substantially to a greater amount.:bat:

This is wierdest figure ever seen, ground pressure has to be measured in kg/m sq and not in terms of Hp/ton.:crazy2:

Yes, they are developed by the same people, but the Type 99 is an entire generation ahead of the Al-khalid. Al-khalid is MBT-2000, it is just the pakistani name. Type 99 is very different from the Type 98. Al-khalid is comparable to Type 96 mod, since they are in the same generation and almost developed at the same time...

AK will be a winner for pakistan.

Admin: Avoid oneliners and semi-onliners. Its against our rules.

Thanks.

actually mbt2000, type 90II or AK watever u call it has better armour and electronic equipments than type 96..... however when compare to type 99.... it would be like tiger(type 99) and pather(AK) durin ww2

You mean panzer

The ak is more versatile and manueverable it might also have some better electronics than the Type 99 but then again the Type 99 have better ecm, more speed and much better armor (armor is 1200mm compared to m1a2 800mm and al-khalid 800mm)

The AL Khalid MBT is operating Chinese FCS. What's wrong with admitting we used their equipment? The Chinese are top notch in R&D and has been building tanks for yrs.

true..... it would be like taking a screw from your car trying to fit it onto your computer..... (western electronic suite may not be compatable with AK (shapes, sizes)
best to just go for the original electronic suite or let china upgrade them....

This is a good video here guys, its appears to be the T98 or T99 and it survive a full impact from an Anti-tank weapon during trials.

Dude what are you talking about?
The AK was only based off the chinese T-90 tank not copied. And the AK doesnt use any chinese avionics, its loading is the same on the french leclerc, its avionics are western and made in pakistan

The AK's management system is amongst the most advanced in the world and is made in pakistan by HIT, its guns are made in pakistan under liscense production from germany

Enough BS about AK using chinese weapons and electronics
